We have potential, but Haslett has to start adjusting his plays, rather than continue to blitz his linebackers because he feels like only he's able to do it.
Can't keep blitzing like that in a 3-4. To me a 3-4 defense is more akin to a reading D, where you have the extra LB to cover an outside run or a short pass. Sure you can blitz, but you better have a monster D line, which we don't!!!!!

It's simpler than that. A 3-4 D has three statues up front to stuff the run and open up lanes for the LBs. I saw none of that.

Plus having a whole bunch of former DEs as your LBs in the 3-4 is not the best of ideas.

Yeah, but if you don't have a D line where are those gaps? Also all you have to do is have a bunch of quickie slants called to negate the rush, like the Rams did. It all boils down to the D line. If you don't have the D line to rush, play zone.

We can't fire haslett now. That's just ****ing stupid, our players don't fit a 3-4 but that means we have to build into a 3-4.. Dallas and GB both struggled their first year in the scheme.

People may say I'm crazy and a traitor, but we should make a go for Wade Phillips when he gets ass kicked out of Dallas.

What?
He's always suffocated the living shit out of our offense for last few 1000 years.

They had a goal line stand today. We let some backup scrub score a killer touchdown.

What he asks out of his NT would go much better in Albert Haynesworth's mind.

Haslett is fine. The switch to the 3-4 is going to take time and getting the right personnel, and add depth. What Haslett has to do to make things better is realize he can't blitiz all the time with the players he has and go back to playing zone.

The Phillips 3-4 has the NT penetrate the backfield. There is not bs hold your ground and sit pretty stuff going on there.

I was against Haslett day one, but I have liked what I have seen up until this game. I know the stats are bad but the players look like they are actually having fun and making plays.

I don't get the NT just sitting either. I'd tell a 3 DL to rush the QB, throw in 2 LB's and let the other 2 sit back in zone and

Oh hell I don't know what the "F" I'm talking about but Baltimore and the Jets I think have the NT attacking not sitting waiting to clog a lane.

Agreed. I love the way Phillips utilizes Jay Ratliff's quickness at NT. Big Al might be more receptive to playing NT if given similar freedom to penetrate upfield.

Even if we let Big Al do whatever he wants at NT we do not have the linebackers to play a 3-4. I said this as soon as it was announced as the direction that we were going.

The 3-4 is based on linebackers and we are at least an offseason or two away from getting the parts that we need to be effective.

Yes the refs were garbage as usual, that wasn't a catch. They held us almost Evert damn play. But we get called forholding. Gimmie an effing break they handed them the game just as.much as we did. My sign has been that way for 2 yrs or more for a reason.

You obviously don't partake in the NBA with the constant three steps do you?
