Re: Cooley - Redskins or no one
I don't know what you're referring to per se, but if it was my comment that behind Paulsen we don't have anything solid at TE beyond this season...you're gdamn right I said it

TE is not an urgent area of need. I don't think we should use a draft pick on a TE in the first 6 rounds with much more pressing needs at other positions. I'm expecting Shanallen to wheel and deal and get us MINIMUM 10 picks by the end of the draft...maybe a dozen, similar to 2011 when they boosted the number of picks from 6 to 12 by the end. Re: Cooley - Redskins or no one
(edit: scrubbed because others have said it already)
Between Paulsen, Davis, and Paul, we're loaded. IMO hopefully Davis will avoid suspension. Paulsen is a decent blocker and traditional TE reciever not the modern "WR playing TE" guy. Paul is so fast and hustles so much on special teams, if he had hands and ran routes better he'd be our best pass catcher hands down! Last edited by HailGreen28; 04-23-2013 at 05:50 PM. |

Re: Cooley - Redskins or no one
We need to move on from the mindset of the Vinny Cerrato era where we'd cling to aging vets like Brian Kozlowski and Todd Yoder out of nostalgia and loyalty over what's good for the team's future.

Re: Cooley - Redskins or no one
I'm a big Cooley fan, but honestly I don't think it is a big deal if he is on the team or off the team. Personally, I don't think he's the 50 year old TE people make him out to be and it's not like we need an all-pro at the third string TE position. Likewise, I don't think it will be the end of the world if he is not on the team. Honestly, I don't know why people get all riled up at for either situation.

Re: Cooley - Redskins or no one
I love Cooley and would like to see him get another full training camp with us before they shut the door but also would not hurt my feelings to see him sign a one day contract and retire a skin for life.
