What is the black national anthem? Just curious since I've never heard of it.

No clue. And don't want to hear it. We have one anthem as far as I'm concerned. The NFL should be ashamed of themselves for playing it.

Re: Around the NFL Week 1

The irony of millionaires holding hands in unity while millions of citizens of every race creed and gender suffer at the hands of poverty, unemployment, inner city violence, and a bogus war on drugs while middle america bickers back amd forth. Ahh democracy.

Let the season play and if they want to try ro do good. YAY for them.

Re: Around the NFL Week 1

Texans had no urgency in the game last night, they didn't even run no huddle plays when they were 3-4 TDs behind. This is 100% on O'Brien.

On a different note, I'm glad I snagged Fuller in 10th round for one of my FFLs. It's likely to be short-lived, as least it's already paying dividends for me.

No idea how O'Brien is still in the NFL. Terrible coach and personnel guy.

The curse of the Bill Bellichick coaching tree continues. And O'Brien has been one of the few successful coaches from the BB coaching tree. That might be ending this year.

Glad gridiron26 is a better analyst than both ESPN or some other garbage paid media piece of crap.

This is 100% correct. O’Brien sucks, the team energy and general preparation is 100% on him. Game was over first half. I saw the same thing...good call

I've owned Fuller off and on in my keeper league. The guy lives in the cold tub. He will tease you, have a great game or two then will pull a hammy.

Same here.

I don't know if Hopkins leaving will result in his production go down because he'll get more attention or up because he's pretty much Houston's top target.

Yeah I usually stay away from Fuller but I think with Fuller in the last year of his contract, he even hired a personal trainer to work on his body, now he is only WR on the team that Watson has a great rapport with, and him falling to 10th round. I felt it's worth taking the risk on Fuller. We will see how long that lasts though.

Re: Around the NFL Week 1

Can we leave the political commentary to other threads? I’d really like to be able to have a little separation from the social commentary and football. Unless you want people to start teeing off on each other, which this thread is sorely tempting me to do. I’d rather just bond with everyone over the mutual affection for our team.

I am opposed to mutual bonding unless you do it my way.

This.

I think the only non football subjects allowed in this thread should be British food and kicking puppies.
