apparently d'qwell jackson is pissed about getting a 2nd round tender.

he was told last offseason, when he was seeking an extension, that he would get one before the start of training camp in 2010. He got injured last year. Browns changed GMs and the new one is not honoring the old GMs promise.

he's alil small for an ILB (6 feet tall) in a 3-4 even though he plays ILB for the browns at a very high level.

i would like this move, although this would require some kind of compensation vs signing dansby who has played ilb in a 3-4.

d'qwell has a legit gripe and more to be pissed off about than most other tendered starting players.
Seems like there's a lot of that go around the NFL first couple of days of free agency - players are pissed about being tendered for less than their perceived value. It's just a new day with the cap situation and guys are adjusting. Plain and simple. It's business more than ever now.

yeah but with that broken promise/new GM not honoring old GM's promise . . .adds an additional layer of pistoffness for d'qwell.

Colt Brennan has no NFL stats....cause he's never played a freakin' down as an NFL QB. I cannot for the life of me understand the Cult of Colt. The guy for 2 years couldn't beat out a 37-38 year old QB with a weak arm and no mobility (and I don't want to hear the injury thing, that's probably what kept him on the roster for 2009 because a player can't be released while injured). Sorry for the.....

this is a huge head-scratcher to me, especially given that its a multiyear deal. i dont see how he fits with the system, but we'll see what happens.

He probably still has remnants of his athleticism from his younger days.

Politics......He and Kyle Shanahan were college teammates. I thought he payed fairly well at times last year, better at G than T.
