^^I think we would have gotten crushed much worse if Chase had been under center yesterday.

And...dude, I've seen your other posts and I must ask: is someone paying you for every exclamation point that you use?

He he he. Jim Zorn had a big one hovering above his head last night. I know I'm not the only one with a lot of questions around here. Chase is gone. For the record, I'd rather have Todd Collins. Thanks for reading my posts. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? cha ching!

Actually I was talking about njall and his exclamation points, not question marks.

It is just so hard to put your finger on what goes wrong for Jason. He is a very accurate passer, has a high completion percentage, great arm, and can tuck-and-run when he needs to. It just seems like he doesn't really attack the defense. He runs the play, but he doesn't go after the weaker defensive players.

For Jason to make the transition to franchise QB, and start winning games consistently, he needs to learn to find a defenses weakness, recognize it at the line of scrimmage, audible (if needed) and attack the weakness. Brady does it, Manning does it, Brees does it....

Maybe with a little more comfort in the system, and the next few weaker opponents, he can turn it on.

Gtrip.. No those aren't little things, but at the same time QBs in this league are judged on one thing. Winning. JC hasn't done that yet. And the team we must absolutly beat is the Giants. JC(as a starting QB) has not beaten the Giants once in the last 4 years. Todd Collins beat the Giants in 07 at the Meadow Lands. Jason hasn't showed me anything in the games we have played against NY to disprove that fact. How can we win the East, get to the playoffs, and win the SuperBowl without beating the Giants at least once? That is the goal here right? Win the NFC East and Win the Superbowl? Is there faith that JC can do that? That's why I am a fan of the Redskins. That is what we used to do alot. Now if we get to the playoffs it's as a Wild Card. I want to win again. Be feared. Not be afraid of NY because we can't beat them. He has time to win me back over. I'm just done defending him.

Re: Positives of this Game

A positive (not our game) that I didn't realize:

DALLAS DEFENSE GAVE UP 450 YDS TO TAMPA BAY AND BYRON LEFTWICH!!!!

Yes I did need all caps, bold, and 4 exclamation marks.
and yes I know they got the win, but they won't get many like that.

Actually Dallas looked really bad early in the game. They didn't get started until later part of the game. I'm not too impressed with their overall team.

Well, like I've pointed out, there were blemishes on Campbell's day, but nothing that happened while he had the ball would have necessarily prevented the team from winning. When Campbell didn't have the ball in his hands on Sunday, we were much, much worse off.

Quarterbacks aren't judged by winning any more than middle linebackers are. With that said, nothing will get the public's attention faster than a lot of Ws and few Ls.

The thing about Jason is, he doesn't need to do anything to become a franchise quarterback. He does a lot of things well and a few things not so well. The thing is, for this organization, having a franchise quarterback is simply empty rhetoric designed at dodging any actual problems with the franchise.

You can tell when an organization is serious about building through it's quarterback and when an organization is simply going through the motions. Guess which category we fall into?

The Washington Redskins will not have a franchise quarterback this year. They will not have one next year, or the year after, or the year after that. Had we traded for Jay Cutler, still no shot at a franchise quarterback. It's a byproduct of an organizational philosophy to "prove it" without any responsibility on it's own part to improve it's methodology.

The Redskins can win without a franchise quarterback, I think, but won't be able to sustain whatever they work towards anyway.

I agree, when the ball fell out of his hands and Osi was running down the sidelines for a TD it couldnt have been any worse.

LOL.

There's nothing to say that the same thing couldn't have happened to Portis. Campbell fumbled, but that's really the end of the play, from the quarterback's perspective, when assessing blame.
