His blitzing strategy has improved a lot, just need to work on leaving so many soft spots in the zones.

Manning will get some yards but won't score much. I think we will control the clock in the 2nd half, get 1 or 2 turnovers & win this one convincingly, 24-13.
I'm actually expecting a convincing win myself.

But then afterwards the spin machine will be in full effect. Manning was off, they're injured in the secondary, this guy tripped and tore his achilles. I swear if won by 30 points the naysayers would say the Colts had an off night, not that the Skins won.

I'm kind of expecting a peak performance. Not saying it will be the peak of the season, but we'll have more big letdowns to come, just not this game.

In fairness to the spinners, the Skins are one of many teams this year that the experts et al just can't seem to make sense of. The parity this year is so far as great as I've ever seen I believe. If teams like Dallas, Minn. & SD get on track this season could produce the most 8-8 teams ever.

I hope we continue the trend of owning Bill Pansy Polian. What's his record against us anyway?

Re: It's F-ing Colts Week

This is a tough one to predict (aren't they all?) Now the good thing is that the Colts are coming off a win, I would have hated if we had to face a desperate Colts team. Our offense and Haslett's discipline as a defensive play caller will be key. The Colts D is terrible, and we need more out of our offense in order to keep Manning on the sidelines. We can't have a sh*tty performance out of McNabb and Co.

In the defensive side of the ball, Haslett cannot go blitz-crazy against Manning. The Colts have no running game, so we'll need to make sure to avoid the big passing plays and keep an eye on dump off passes. Hopefully having Godzilla back will help with creating a pass rush with just our 3 d-linemen (or 4 if we have 4-3 formations), the Colts o-line is not the best and I don't think we are going to need to blitz at all.

Re: It's F-ing Colts Week

Ol' Burgundy and Gold is giving up about 400 yards per game, and the Colts are known for their devastating offensive attacks on the field and will be putting points on the board.

Bottom line, our offense has to answer this week, because the D won't be able to win it by itself. And tho' the D can't win this game by itself, the Indy O is not what it's been in years past; it hasn't found a rythym so far this season, which is a good thing ... unless they find it with us.

I'm pretty sure the first few opening drives will tell the tale - if we come out strong, or at least answer Manning, we have a legit shot at winning it; if we come out like a heap or fail to respond to Indy points with our own, it will be a long game and we lose unless the Football Gods are still feeling benevolent towards us.

That said, I have a good feeling about this game and the Colts have only managed to absolutely demolish exactly one team so far this season.

Peyton will get the Jim Kelly treatment. I guarantee it.

If the Colts were a little healthier, I would worry about this game but they are badly beaten up, so there is no reason we shouldn't be able to take this game. They got beat by the damn Jags people. Besides, due to the good fortune/luck of our opponents key players dropping game after game, I'm beginning to think we may be able to slide into the playoffs.

The Jags have always played the Colts tough, although they usually lost the games in recent memory.

Re: It's F-ing Colts Week

Anytime we play the Colts people should be worried. The offense will have to play world class offense for us to win this game. We have to run the ball all 4 qts. If they stack the line and blitz you take advantage and slip screen them to hell. It's about time we introduce audibles to this offense too. If we do all of this successfully we win, if not it will be an easy 27-13 Colts victory.

I don't know, this one could go either way (like most of our games). The Texans pass D is a hair worse than ours and they don't seem to create turnovers as much as we do, much less keep people out of their end-zone. But yet they managed to beat a pretty healthy Colts team in week one. Yeah it was a division game and the first game of the season, but most years it's not a surprise for the Colts to go unbeaten until like past week 10 and shit. I find it interesting that both of their losses have come against divisional opponents, and I'm guessing Kyle S. knows their defensive weaknesses just as well as anyone. Execute and take care of the baby and I think we'll be fine, regardless if Peyton has a big day or not. Play poor in any facet of the game and you can chalk it up as a big fat loss. With all said, I say an even match-up deep into the 4th quarter, Banks punt return to set up a Gano FG decides game winner.

33 carries, 231 yards, 3 TDs, 7.0 ypc.

Easy enough to see how Houston owned the Colts. Apparently, Houston's o-line has mastered zone-blocking and Foster is taking full advantage.
