He's a 32 year old WR who hasn't gone over 1,000 yards since 2009.

Still a good player but not a superstar.

This guy does his damage on a consistent basis though. And I think he'll be glad to answer this question - "what have you done for me lately?"

Unless he drops off immediately, this is one hell of a steal for the Niners.

How many times in the playoffs did Boldin motion to the slot, Flacco drops back and throws a sh*tty pass to the end zone; Boldin goes up over a linebacker or safety, completely punking them in the process, for the touchdown? They dont sniff the superbowl trophy this year without Boldin. He was a key on offense.

Playoffs this year: 22 receptions, 380 yards 4 TDs = beast

In fact, the reason Joe looked so good was because his WRs were simplying beasting. That 4th and inches catch by Boldin was incredible. Boldin and the other Ravens WRs pretty much carried Flacco to that Super Bowl.

Ironic how he "Mossed" a few defenders in the playoffs and Superbowl, now that he's going to the same team as Moss.

He was going to be cut because he wouldn't take a 2mil pay cut with the Ravens. He's not going to be reducing his contract either in San Fran so the Ravens basically got a 6th rounder for nothing.

I just don't think the Ravens played their cards right. They didn't even really give themselves a chance to shop Boldin to other teams.

Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013

Whata move by the 49ers. Boldin is perfect receiver to go against the physical CBs in Seattle. Those CB wont be able to push Boldin around, advantage 49ers.

Exciting to see the arms race to day in the West.

Percy Harvin is an excellent move by Seattle as well. Couldnt have gotten a better receiver where they were in the first round.

He won't really try hard IMO, he said just a couple weeks ago that if not Baltimore he would retire.

Eh, things change quickly. He's going from the SB champs to a team that likely has a better shot than his old team to win it all next year. One thing I would never question about him is his heart or effort. He always brings it.

I agree. That's too much
