I'm struggling with pulling the trigger on a truck.
I can't get over that fact that midsized trucks are $45K+ with Tacomas starting at $50K.
I wouldn't mind a full-size truck but I wouldn't be able to park it in SoCal shopping centers.

everyone does there finances as though they will live forever

i am not saying run yourself into to major debit or be completely finical irresponsible

BUT there are folk in my office with good money squirrelled away and have made great investments but they are so damn cheap they can't enjoy the money

Single lady in her 60s in my office no kids no mortgage no nothing, six figure salary, she has plenty of coin

she moves her bed in the summer down to the basement where it is cooler so she doesn't have to run the AC, just one example of her cheap ways

also if you don't watch the cv boot and it tears then road junk gets in the cv joints and destroys them hence the noise you are hearing

cv boot replacement vs. cv joint replacement is two entirely different bills

Made my final car payment yesterday.

Still only has 61000 miles on it. Really hope I can make it at least a couple more years with no car issues outside of routine maintenance. Would be nice to have that extra $335 bucks every month.

Have to get all 4 tires replaced in the next month or so. I didn't realize how many freaking brands there were. I have no idea how to pick.

Anyone here have preference(s) on brands they've had good experience(s) with?

tire rack, BJs or Costco for tires

spend a a little more and always get Michelin and rotate your tires every 5k miles

I just had to put tires on two vehicles and Discount Tire had the best pricing for both. I didn't get road hazard and my daughter truck hit something and ruined the tire. The manager gave us a new tire for only $38.
