Re: Brandon Lloyd
I don't want another no-name like Jaquan Walker. Now if you were thinking Javon Walker, WELL then I'd be interested.

Redskins | Team working to acquire Lloyd
Fri, 10 Mar 2006 19:23:05 -0800 Jason La Canfora, of the Washington Post, reports the Washington Redskins are working to acquire restricted free agent WR Brandon Lloyd from the San Francisco 49ers, according to several league sources. According to sources, the two sides were working on parameters for a deal, but had yet to agree on compensation. JUST READ THIS |

Both are considered to be star players and will be paid accordingly, regardless of injury. Besides, Walker is a #1 WR which we already have in Moss. There wouldn't be enough balls to go around between Moss, Cooley and Walker. All we need is a nice compliment to Moss who can snag 50 passes or so. |

Re: Brandon Lloyd
I definitely think that he is worth a second rounder. He had some big games with Tim Rattay. He didn't do much with Smith but I don't know if Smith broke the 100 yard barrier last year. I bet Saunders could turn him into a monster

Re: Brandon Lloyd
i would gladly give up a second rounder for lloyd. the dude is a freak. he's got the best hands in the league. reminds me bit of a young chris carter....minus the off-field transgressions.

Re: Brandon Lloyd
I don't know about the Cris Carter comparison but I do like Lloyd.

One other thing. Why are we targeting Adam Archuleta? He is basically another linebacker who struggles against the pass. Shouldn't we be targeting a centerfielder type safety who can free up Sean Taylor to play more in the box, rush the qb, lay big hits, etc? Hopefully I am dead wrong since it looks like this is the direction the Skins are headed, but I just don't see Llyod, Archuleta, and Carter as the answers. Who I would really like to see in DC are David Givens, Nate Clements, and Darren Howard. I guess the latter two might be too expensive, but I can't imagine that Givens would command too much more money than Lloyd and he doesn't require a draft pick. I don't like having to overpay and then give up picks . . . I think the Skins have been too cavalier in the past few years in dealing those picks . . . I just don't think Llyod is worth it. Apologies for providing the voice of doom . . . I guess I am just pessimistic by nature . . .
