Cousins hasn't been great for Minnesota...but its the first year of the deal and they have a decent window the next 2 years with that team to make a serious run.
Yeah, tell that to the team/fanbase that was one game away from the SB last year.

And yes, we did have a chance with Alex, see how everything has crumbled after he went out.

Funny how people keep making excuses for Cousins, but were not willing to give Alex a chance.

Kirk Cousins is not a top 10 QB, he is a top 10 stats QB, Both are very different. He is great when games are out of reach and he can get his garbage yards, we have seen this so many times. I was in denial and wanted Kirk back but after watching him this season and his film, nothing has changed. He's the same KC as he has been, has mental breakdowns , (last night when he just threw it back to the RB after Thielan was wide open) , He fumbles way too much and he misses throws in the Red Zone. The guy is a solid starter but not worth 84M

Yeah got agree, I don't think our record be much better today if KC was still our QB.

This is a solid argument and it's debatable. Was Kirk getting garbage yards when he had come from behind wins? Or games like he had against New Orleans last year where he was let down by the defense? He had plenty of games here where he played well enough to win but lost. Sorry that ain't on him.

To me it came down to this. Would you rather pay Cousins 84m over the 3 years? Or would have rather paid Smith 71 million? Basically the Redskins saved 4 million a year for a QB that isn't as good. It blew up in their faces because now Smith is hurt and may never play again, he wasn't playing well before he got hurt and now we're back to square one.

The Skins are full of bad quarterback decisions. Sanchez didn’t last 4 quarters until he was benched for someone who’s a practice squad journeyman that hasnt played in years.

There’s a Washington Post article saying Washington Unwittingly Proved Colin Kapernick’s value.

Gruden and Allen are (yet again) responsible for those bad decisions. Just like letting Cousins walk to save 4 million on a quarterback who ran the offense like crap and couldn’t complete a pass over 5 yards. They both need to be fired.

Well let’s be honest here. Do you disagree? I think Washington did prove Kapernicks value. After watching the complete shit show Sanchez was, and now we’re going with a mobile Quarterback who can move around and extend plays (as Gruden put it) wouldn’t most think Kapernick was the best option and most talented to go with? Certainly over who’s starting now.

Funny how Gruden is back to needing a QB like RG3....ironic

He’s just FULL of good Quarterback decisions.

I'd rather of had Alex. Can't include the injury in the decision as that's out of teams control and was just plane nasty. We were winning games and could have won the game he got hurt in if refs didn't fuck us where the sun don't shine. Whether the wins were because of him or not is another discussion, but we were winning.

Re: Dumpster fire Postgame

The Vikings would have exact same record as us if the referees didn't cheat the Packers on one of the biggest BS roughing calls you'll ever see and they are way more talented. Cousins is not a winner, its just that simple.

Re: Dumpster fire Postgame

RG3 to Cousins to McCoy back to Cousins to Smith to McCoy to Sanchez to what’s his name?

We didn’t draft anyone when we should have, there’s no one in FA or the draft, and Kapernick is laughing at home.

Did I miss something?

I know u are joking but for the ones that don't now..

Jacoby Brissett = Young solid QB that will be cheap to get via trade if the Colts let him go.

Joe Flacco = Yes he's getting older but he wouldn't be bad for a couple years.

Nick Foles = Yes I would take Foles for a couple years.

Tyrod Taylor = Another stopgap guy for a year or 2.

Ryan Fitzmagic = He lit us up so why not?

Will Grier = Will be a 1st round QB and possibly there when we pick.
High ceiling, can make all the throws and moves around well.

Dwayne Haskins = Dominated Michigan and Jim Harbaugh's defense. Huge year this season, great arm and pocket passer.

My choice and hope is in bold.

Tyrod Taylor is an enigma to me, because when he was with the Bills he somehow got them to the playoffs. And this was when they were basically in rebuild mode and were getting rid of all of their playmakers. Yet he stunk it up with the Browns.

I think it had more to do with Mayfield just being way better as well .
