Re: Around the NFL…Week 1 Style
I think losing Cooper and Cedrick Wilson hurt bigtime also. Wilson did put up 600 yds last year for Dallas. I know their oline wasn't great, but it just appeared no one could get open. Highly, highly doubt Rush can crank up the offense. Bowles and Tampa's defense are bigtime. Very impressive.

Re: Around the NFL…Week 1 Style
Losing Dak hopefully gives him an excuse and keeps him in Dallas

For a normal owner, yes; for Jerry, hell no.

Re: Around the NFL…Week 1 Style
Dak is a good QB but he’s not Elite, too many wanted to label him that before this game. He looked like shit all game

Re: Around the NFL…Week 1 Style
I’m not saying Dak’s elite but talking shit about him after 1 game when he lost most of his receiving corp and his off line sucks is not a good barometer.Aaron Rogers is elite and he looked awful yesterday also suffering from the same problems as Dak.

Re: Around the NFL…Week 1 Style
The fact that wearing new cleats gave Dak a sore ankle should have been a sign of things to come for the Cowpukes.

Re: Around the NFL…Week 1 Style
We win and Dallas loses = great Sunday. If only the Eagles and Giants had lost too (and nearly did), as that would be an epic Sunday. Got to take care of business next week.
I will say this, it was so satisfying to see certain teams -- NE, GB -- lose, and that the Colts could only scrape a tie against the Texans is also awesome. The Colts had 33 first downs and 517 yards and only managed 20 points which is pretty pathetic. They had 200 more yards and 10 minutes more of possession too, 100 more yards rushing and 100 more yards passing. Yes they had 2 turnovers but the Texans had one too. Kinda remarkable to not pull out a win under those circumstances. Was hoping to see Irsay be interviewed after that game. The Giants rushed for 238 yards -- that's pretty impressive (7.4 yd/rush). Eagles put up 216 yards rushing (5.5yd/rush). Our run D is going to have to step up in a major way if we're going to take any games in the NFCE. The Matthis injury could prove consequential given that we let some good run stuffers (Ionidis and Settle) walk in the offseason.

Hurts 18/32 passing, Eagles had 39 rushing attempts Jones 17/21 passing, 5 sacks!, Giants rushed 32 times Forcing Hurts and Jones to beat you through the air seems pretty straight forward and our run D should be better than yesterday's showing |
