Thanks for the link Matty. The thing about Bruce Campbell is he does have a lot of upside and he didn't just come out of nowhere like some of the combine super heroes of the past. He's been projected well all along and he's HUGE. I bet Buges'es mouth would be watering over someone like that.

Yeah I know.

But teams are definitely drooling over this guy right now mainly because of how he looks and his measurables. I just think you need to be careful and not overrate him is all. I mean who cares about his 40 time?

Bruce Campbell also looked good in the football-ish kinds of drills, like the kick-slide, which until this morning, I thought was a hockey move. He looks good, but damn, Okung is just the total package. I can't see passing on a sure thing LT like him.

Fair enough. The 40 is definitely over-rated, especially for a lineman. The guy does show good athleticism for a LT. He moves pretty well carrying that much weight and he's a workout warrior. I would rather have Okung personally but I think BC has a lot of potential. But I get your point. It's easy to get excited this time of year over combine numbers.

I just read a review on Bruce Campbell and basically what it said was this. "With his performance during the combine he's moving up the boards. He's athletic and a workout warrior. But....he has only started 17 games, misses a lot of blocks and doesn't possess a mean streak. Some coach is going to draft him in the first round thinking he can get him to perform up to his potential....and fail." I think this is where mistakes are made in the draft and I can see why. It's easy to fall in love with these guys because of their measurables, but that doesn't make them a football player. Your point is well taken Matty. BC could easily go either way. 17 games is not much to go on.

Re: 2010 Combine

Matt Tennant weighed in at 300lbs and measured at 6'5...Great size for a Z.B. Center. He also ran the 40 in 5.16 seconds.
