SF will lose when the game will completely depend on their QB play. Until then, their running game (and not just Gore) and defense will make it won't have to put the game on his shoulders. Although I thought that he played well today.

I guess you haven't watched many Niners games. Great Defense, probably the best 1,2 combo LB's Willis and Bowman, pretty good offense all around, with a punishing OL which creates a pretty good running game. WR/TE/RB/OL are pretty good. Oh forgot, the best young coach in the game, Harbaugh.

Gronkowski is a physical freak, just like Antonio Gates.

I've seen plenty niners games and was at fed ex last week and watched them. their division sux, the giants are inconsistent, Ronnie brown gave them a win, we stunk against them..... dumb luck combined with a good defense and a coaching staff who knows how to call games and plays it safe with a sub par qb.... they're not that special.

Let's see:

They barely lost to the 5-4 Cowboys in OT, have beaten the 3-6 Eagles in Philly, undefeated 6-3 Detroit in Detroit, Washington, 6-3 Cincy on the road and the 6-3 Giants. I say that's pretty impressive, I'm not a Whiner fan by all means, I hate them worse than the cowboys, but they deserve credit.

They're the Jets, except that they will get a home playoff game and probably the bye.

Jets blew it tonight. I thought this would be the game that sparked a run for them.

Meanwhile, the Bears are legit

It's pretty amazing how the Bears can maintain such a level of play with such a bad Oline and aging defense.

Re: Around the NFL week 10

Props to Andre Carter. 4.5 sacks tonight, and without the aid of Albert Fatus Magnus Haynesworth.

Re: Around the NFL week 10

we did we switch to a 3-4? rak and carter are great 4-3 ends. carter just can't play in a 3-4... that's why he left SF and came here in the first place.

The Jets of last year or year before maybe...when their run defense was lights out.

Rak would have made a fantastic DE in the 4-3. Either side probably although it would have take a little adjustment to go LDE.

He's solid as a rusher in the 3-4 but it's really stupid to have him back in coverage. Rak also struggles with containment sometimes but I think in a better system under better coaching he would have improved in that area enough to be a truly elite DE.

It's pretty hilarious.
Apparently, it was the run defense that failed KC for most of the game...and after they were blooded and weakened, Tebow tosses the killer dagger(perfect pass) to Eric Decker to finish them off.

Re: Around the NFL week 10

Biggest surprise of the weekend, other than Mike Smith going for it, is the Bears ripping the Lions. I liked the Lions in the match up but felt like the Bears could win. I had no clue they would destroy the Lions. That Defense has grown into a top 3 in the league.
