Atmosphere for Monday Night

Think about it:

Washington DC
9/11
Redskins Opening Day (after a GREAT end of the season run)

90,000 American flags waving by the best fans in the world

... If I were Minnesota I wouldn't even want to show up.

I hope we can get the kind of 12th man we had last year. Opening day last year was nuts and by the home Cowboys game, it was even crazier.

Against the Bears we were directly responsible for like 4-5 false starts.

Especially wearing purple since the Skins will be in their home whites.

I was there, and for the Dallas game. It just feels so awesome to be there for Opening game, and for it to be a day like 9/11 - emotional - flags waving. It's going to be awesome!!! My son will be there Monday without me, because I have a meeting to attend.

Maybe that's why Ramsey couldn't hear Briggs coming with the dirty hit.

Not that Brunell taking over was a BAD thing...

I will have to wear my American shirt... and maybe my Art Monk-signed Redskins hat.

If Brunell can make fast, quick, good decisions with the football, AND be accurate. He could have a big night. I agree with the guys on the Redskins lunch onthe radio today that the Skins will have a hard time running against the Vikes front line, but we should be able to pass on them if Brunell can stay upright.

Re: Atmosphere for Monday Night

How do you cover all of our weapons? It's pretty simple really...put Brunell on his back or make him throw early. Our OLine MUST dominate for the offense to click. I'm looking for a shaky start but the D puts us on the short field on more than one occassion. Skins 24 Vikes 10

Excellent. Waving flags have been known to win football games.

I haven't been this excited about opening day in a long time. I was deeply dissapointed in the pre season. Now it's time to see the starters for the whole game. I wish I could be there unfortunatley I live in NC. I'll be cheering lound enough you will be able to hear me in D.C.
