Betts

The offense look better than it did in the preseason but what happened to Betts. It looked like he lost a step to me. He was always one step from breaking it. I liked the sweep play but I don’t understand why we keep running it with Betts. Why didn’t we run it more with Portis?

Am I paranoid or did anyone else notice this? Maybe this is the real reason we traded to Duckett.

Re: Betts

He did look alittle slow, but amybe he isn't comfartable with the new offense? Give him a couple of weeks. Hopefully he will break one for six. seven if Jon Hall can make it.

It also seemed like we went away from the inside running that worked so well last year...don't mess with success

Re: Betts

Well, we're use to seeing Portis so when Betts plays he'll look slower. And boy did Portis look fast.

Re: Betts

he (portis) did look fast and honestly a little bigger. i still think that shoulder is still a bit nicked and he plays like it. When ever he saw contact coming i swear he would then switch and lead with the other shoulder. but maybe i was seeing things.as far as betts though i think he hasnt found his comfort zone yet. I just want to know if its 2nd and 3 from the 3 can we see a tj "truckett" duckett run? PLEASE>>>>>>>>>>BEAT DALLAS

Betts was drafted 2 rounds before anyone had him landing and he is no more than an average NFL running back. I can't understand the props he gets. The best thing he brings is kickoffs because he is solid and sound and otherwise he is a lovely average player.

Re: Betts

Duckett just didn't get a chance. Same reason why Lloyd didn't see any catches. It's just the way the game went.

hopefully those guys will get a chance this Sunday. WE need all of players to play and contribute. I really want to see cooley be a part of the offense

Re: Betts

With all these weapons on offense the weekly question is going to be, where was [fill in player name here].

There's just not enough balls to go around.

There's going to be games where Cooley is the man, or Lloyd, or Randle El, or Moss. It just depends on the flow of the game, matchups, who's hot, etc.

Re: Betts

I see Lloyd and Randle El getting a lot of deep looks this game. The Cowboys aren't going to forget about Moss. I expect him to be covered particularly tight. I think Cooley/Fauria will be kept in to block a lot until the field opens up. I think we'll see a lot of Sellers knocking out would-be blitzers.

He may hit the hole hard, but he goes down as soon as someone lays a hand on him, and he's always played that way. His best plays come from edge plays and screen passes, and he almost screwed that up on Monday with the near fumble.
