Walt Harris
man i hated him when he was here but he has 6 interceptions for the 49s so far... that's 3 times more than our whole team. Maybe he wasn't as bad as everyone thought so now he can go down with antonio pierce and fred smoot as people our front office let go when they should have kept them.

Re: Walt Harris
I can't believe how many tackles this defense has missed, how many coverages the secondary has blown, how few sacks and turnovers this defense has produced, and how many yards the defense has given up. I yearn for the Walt Harris days.

Re: Walt Harris
I am just amazed at how bad this defense is...it is laughable. This defense is Mike Nolan bad...pathetic.

Now we just need to send Derek "Blows Ass" Smith to the bench and keep that bust Sammy Davis off the field. I really wish Nolan would just get over his D.Smith man crush though...

Re: Walt Harris
I think it has become very obvious that he and Ryan Clark were allot more valuable than anyone knew. I don't think anyone doubted he could cover, he was very weak at tackling. I think Williams seems to be very into tackling defenders, but you have to have balance between tackling and covering.

Re: Walt Harris
I'm surprised more people haven't talked about this recently.
Harris isn't great, but at least he could challenge Rogers, or at least replace him in the staring line-up in order for Rogers to get his head straight.

Re: Walt Harris
Well Harris is definitely better than Rogers. Any CB that can catch a ball right to him is better than Rogers.
Rogers is an enormous bust (I am talking 46 double F). Chalk up another one for the worst front office in the NFL. |

Re: Walt Harris
And you gotta love having Archuletta, the highest paid safety EVER, flourishing in his new career as a bench warmer. Along with Ryan Clark playing great for Pitt and what Walt is doing in SF... Makes me SICK.
Someone should go on the "blogging with Vinny Cerrato" portion of the Skins homepage and just cuss him out. We DEF make the worst player personnel decisions in the league. |

I have said this before, and I'll say it again; I have a great deal of admiration and respect for Joe Gibbs, however he has been away from the game a long time, and to come back into the league after such a lengthly absence and begin making personell decisions for the team is a bit hasty, as well as prematute. It's a difficult assignment for those who are constantly associated with the game year in and year out, it's surely compounded when you're away from the game for twelve years. He just dosen't know the league personel well enough to effectively make all the decisions in reference to such. He surely has to have other input from someone else in the oprganization because it would be impossible for him to make these decisions all on his own.

Re: Walt Harris
I think it may be a little early to label Rogers a bust. He's not a top 10 pick though. I brought up in another thread that I wanted Williams (OMG, how bad would that have been?) but also I pined for Ware/Merriman. I would have loved to have gotten a pass rusher from the draft last year. However, I'm willing to give him next year. I think he needs to play more physical, I think that's scheme, whatever it is, they need to let him play however he feels comfortable cause right now, whatever he's doing, it ain't working.

Re: Walt Harris
three ints against oakland...2 ints off s. wallace against seattle.... thats not really impressive
i mean looking at stats like that is like looking at the 9ers record and saying their better than the skins...come on they play a lot of terrible teams |

Oh, and in all likelihood, the 49ers probably ARE better than the Redskins. |

Re: Walt Harris
wow...i find it funny that the same guys who wanted Harris' head last year are now blaming the FO for releasing him. This is the same dude that played like absolute trash while he was here, the same guy that EVERY Redskins fan wanted out. I mean it got to the point last year where I expected Harris to get beat everytime they threw at him. And no one even try to tell me otherwise.
