Eagles Implosion
Anyone else watching this? With two minutes left, Umenyiora (sp?) has 6 sacks, 6 SACKS! and the team as a whole has 12 sacks. Eagles were lucky to score 3 points. If Justice has a job tomorrow, I'll be shocked.

Re: Eagles Implosion
He made Justice his bitch in every way possible. It was ridiculous. Power, Finesse... and Justice was a first round pick!

Re: Eagles Implosion
I seriously felt bad for the guy I can't believe they didnt line a TE up over there to help, he confidence is shattered after that game and he may never recover

Re: Eagles Implosion
How do you not put a TE over there to help out??? I think Reid has way TOO much confidence in McNabb

Re: Eagles Implosion
All of a sudden the Giants are back in the East race. Maybe last week wasn't a fluke for them?

Re: Eagles Implosion
Last week Gibbs and Co dropped the ball against the G-Men. Giants are trash and the Eagles are just raw sewage IMO.

Re: Eagles Implosion
If we played the Giants 10 times we probably win 5 and they win 5. Same with the Eagles. There is just alot of parity in the NFL but especially in the NFC East.

Re: Eagles Implosion
Two things--one, the gint D is good, and that helps explain some (not all!) of what went on in the second half last week. Two, we gave them the gift of life. WHY, WHY do we always save the giant's season and their friggin half-assed coach's job??? Coughlin ought to send the skins some of his contract every year--we make him look better than he is.
Finally--man, no Westbrook, no wideouts, no offensive line: it's all McNabb's fault! ![]()

Re: Eagles Implosion
Prior to the eagles game night the teams that played the Giants were 8-1. The one loss being our loss to them. So a 1-2 record was somewhat deceptive.

Re: Eagles Implosion
I don't know about Reid--he's got a great record. He hasn't won the big one. The TO implosion really hurt them, and they had serious injury problems. But when Garcia was in there (and in other years, people like Jay Feely!) the team still won. Some of it's defense, but lots of it was Reid's offense.
And I just don't buy that McNabb is over-rated. When he was healthy, he could beat you with his legs or his arm. It's true that he's a streak passer, and that can hurt his numbers, but when he's on, he can be unstoppable. Is he Manning? Brady? No, but he's up there. Whatever. I'm happy to see the iggles implode, but I don't buy the argument about McNabb, and especially about Reid. And trust me, in Philly there are plenty of Journalists ragging on the iggles. But year after year they make the playoffs, got to 3 NFC Champ games and one SB. Wasted McNabb's best years? Short of winning the SB (which I agree is vital, but it's not the only way to evaluate things), how else did they waste those years? PS I really do hate the iggles, but this is exactly the argument my philly friends make to me--McNabb sucks, Reid sucks, etc. No, you philly fans suck! Santa Claus Rules!
