I Was impressed!!!

Overall after watching tonight, I am very pleased with what we did as an overall team... JC looked very good and our Offense actually looked like.. well a real offense lol. Albert hammered Brady lol but Moss destroyed our secondary, that's the only concern but it is Brady and Moss...

Marko Mitchell is a stud and should move ahead of ARE in the depth chart, atleast to the 4 slot. Kelly is our #2 for sure, and Thomas looked ok. My favorite play was JC to Cooley for 70+ yards!!!! Big Year again for Cooley.

Agreed, I was relieved that the offense did well. I'm sure people will go out of their way to come up with negatives, but I was pleased with the 1st team.

Biggest concerns...penalties. That's discipline, and the team needs to do better than that. I also hope Portis is not hurt.

Too many flags but the passing game was hitting pretty good. Cooley play was awesome. As well as the over the shoulder to Marko. Marko is definately looking like a steal.

I liked what the first team offense did. I was also impressed with Anthony Alridge in the 4th quarter. Definitely looked like he had more burst out the backfield than Dorsey.

Re: I Was impressed!!!

Yeah the offense looked alright tonight. Campbell looked pretty good in attacking deep instead of trying to perfect the west coast offense. I don't know guys but Alridge looked fast as hell in the zone blocking scheme. Marcus Mason actually looked pretty damn good instead of Betts. I'm started to want to keep Alridge and Mason over Betts and Cartwright. This Campbell thing looks pretty impressive with the deep passing but not his accuracy in the short passing game. Also, I want to find a way and keep Dorsey.

Yeah I'm going to open this can of worms... Let's give it up for JC. Dude showed me tonight that he can flat out play.

Agreed. Too bad you won't hear this too much this week. Man, what are JC haters going to do this week? LOL.

For sure. Simms made a good point - if you call plays that let Jason take chances and show his ability, he won't hesitate to sling it. I love what I saw from Jason tonight.

Re: I Was impressed!!!

Maybe the long layoff from football has dulled my memory a bit, but JC just seemed to be FIRING balls in there tonight. His arm looks very strong this year.

That's a good can of worms. JC was confident, in control, making good decisions, getting the ball out quickly, avoiding the rush well...that was a big-time qb wearing #17 tonight.

And let's give it up for Zorn too, looks like he's made some nice adjustments to the offense and getting the ball down the field seems like a big priority.

Re: I Was impressed!!!

Well one thing I saw from JC tonight that is brand new and awesome was the little fake, taking the defender out of the play, just before Jason ran in for a TD. That's smarts, calm and athleticism all at work.

...i'm not saying that was the main positive, JC showed a lot tonight, but that one thing was awesome.
