The article says he was going into a pizza place and and he appeared drunk. As long as he wasn't driving drunk to get to the pizza place, I got no problem. I've been "publicly intoxicated" more times than I care to recall (many many many years ago of course -well past the statute of limitations ago).

Well, I can tell you from experience that cops get nervous around big guys who appear drunk. Even if you are completely docile, polite, and respectful, cops tend to not give you any leeway and are more hostile to big boys than others.
Not saying that played a role in this case, but it wouldn't surprise me. |

im not going to lambast the guy or make judgment calls about his dedication but i do think to be the very best in the nfl you need to commit yourself 365 days a year. being drunk at a pizza joint in your old college town at 2 in the morning may be ok (and down right expected) of me or you but not for him. you get paid big bucks to stay in shape and be as physically prepared as you can be. conditioning can be the down fall for alot of the bigger players, i hope this doesnt prove to be the case/pattern for chad. but we know he has had trouble getting up to speed in the nfl already.
