Skins v Bucs Postgame Thread (aka the YOU LIKE THAT thread)

5 Hours after the greatest comeback in team history and no postgame thread? For shame guys.

Best and Worst:

Best:
Comeback in team history (check)
Quote by your mild mannered qb (YOU LIKE THAT?) Yes Kirk, I liked that.
Tackle by your corner saving a touchdown and the game (check)
Tale of 2 qbs in the first and second half, aka "he put da team on his back doe" nsfw language warning
Return from injury award (Jordan Reed, check)
Choice to attend a game for the first time in years and witness the game winning touchdown 7 rows behind the dream seats in the end zone award: (Myself)

Worst:
There was plenty not to like about the game, especially in the first half. But in light of Kirk "GOAT" Cousins and this team finding the resolve to come back from being down 24-0 I am going to pass on this today. I'm sure we'll have more opportunities in the future to lament the fortunes of this team so for now I will bask in the glow of witnessing an amazing game. Goodnight folks.

Best: Cousins, Reed, Grant, Crowder, Trenton Robinson, OL.

Worse: Running game, running D, 1st half.

Great comeback.
Kirk with no int's and again no running game.
Thank goodness there was only 24 seconds left when Buc's got the ball because they would have scored,if they don't fumble they might have already been close enough.
I heard Kerrigan broke his hand, does that mean he's out for the season?

It would have been a long FG, about 57 yards or so. Had they not fumbled, got off the FG and made it, Joe Barry might as well have just not come into work today.

Our defense is broken. They gave up 500 yards to an offense w/ a rookie QB??? SMH...

The game was over. He was down with 2 seconds to go. The whole point of the defense at that point was to tackle whoever in bounds and watch the clock go quad zeroes.

But yes our defense has issues. I am starting to really question our LB play. Gap responsibility seems to be lost on a few of the starters. I think it is interesting when a guy like Compton, a lesser athlete, comes in and the D plays better. Makes me wonder if maybe he just plays his responsibility better. Have to watch the all-22 to see but I know Riley has been awful this year.

I wonder what would have happened if that went to replay and replay overturned it?
Say they gave him forward progress to the 38,that would make it a 55 yarder, they would have stopped the clock for replay.Do they let Tampa get their fg unit on the field while they're looking at the replay? Then as soon as the ref puts the ball in play they have time to snap it and attempt the fg.Its my guess thats exactly how it would have played out, which is bullshit. There needs to be a rule against that happening.

I just went back and looked at replay, the f ing clock operator never started the clock at the beginning of the play,if it would have been overturned it would have been a convoluted mess trying to figure it out but I think they would have said 5 seconds left. The clock actually shows 12 seconds when he fumbles,if he doesnt fumble that would have given them time to spike it,anyway glad it didnt go down like that because it would have been a mess

"Normally, if it's outside the two [minute warning], we would shut the play down in that situation," Triplette explained. "But there were no timeouts in that situation.

"We just didn't shut it down in that situation because that would have given an unfair advantage."

I felt the same way. Especially about the clock at the end if replay had over turned the call. Glad it didn't come down to that.

Re: Skins v Bucs Postgame Thread (aka the YOU LIKE THAT thread)

Good: low penalties, gruden flipping the 3rd quarter, breeland game saving tackle, special teams

Bad: our run defense needs to get fixed

Great: cousins play, the team sticking together, and mother-f8cking Jordan Reed having a career day. No Jordan Reed, no win

Was thinking during the second half that it would be a damn shame if you had left early. Nice vantage point of the win!
Best: KC, Whatever Gruden said at halftime (maybe just pretend you are losing from now on), Crowder Garcon and Reed, goal line stand to hold them to three at the end.
Worst: anything to do with the run game on either side of the ball. The injuries. Not that Kerrigan has been exactly great this year but really? Its getting sickening.
Edit: forgot about the pass rush. It is gross.
