Defensive line

I tell you what i can't remember the last time our defensive line played like that and we need to carry that over into next week and pressure Eli the same way.
I know the Giants Offensive may be a little better then the Cowgirls but i think we can put the same amount of pressure on.

An even bigger factor is the dominance of a healthy Cornelius Griffin and Joe Salave'a in the middle. They're going to shut down Tiki Barber. I'm calling it, Tiki runs for less than 80 yards this time around.

Yes, you know other than Randy Thomas, we are getting healthy at the right time. I hear that Arrington and Thrash may be back Saturday as well.

The problem is, Tiki very rarely hurts the Skins by running up the gut. Where he kills them is on the edge plays. Hopefully, they're game planning to keep him contained.

And I agree that Griffin being healthy is a tremendous boost for the defensive line and the unit as a whole, but imagine how dominent they could be with him and a decent pass rushing defensive end(which they still need).

I would agree - the one thing we have going for us is that both of their starting tackles are injured and listed as Questionable, which might making running to the outside more difficult. The Giants depth chart only has one backup tackle listed (and he's only started 1 game this season), so if both T are out for the game I'd imagine they'll be doing some serious shuffling or signing guys from the practice squad or something.

Two replacement tackles would make for some pretty vulnerable ends there. Hopefully another big day for Phillip Daniels!

Re: Defensive line

I also truly doubt that Tiki runs wild this game. With the push of Griffin and Salave'a up the middle, he's going to have a hard time gaining momentum around the edge.

No way Tiki runs wild this time around. No way.

Re: Defensive line

We held Tiki to 88yards on 33carries combined for both meetings last year. So GW knows how to game plan for him.

And Tiki ran for 206 yards on us last time, so clearly they know how to gameplan for GW.

Not trying to be pessimistic, hell I'm as excited as anyone could possibly be for this game - I just think Tiki is awfully hard to contain this year.

Re: Defensive line

Our line was banged up in the first meeting and the Giants exploited it big time.

Ain't gonna happen this time. It's payback time, bitches.

last i heard this is payback time on our behalf.
randy thomas said it himself although he,s not playin due to the injured leg.
all i can really say is bring it for 4 quarters just like the cowboys game.

Re: Defensive line

Our O-line will have to step up as well, but the D-line play handling Tiki is the key.
