Re: Free Agency Begins in a Week, Whats the Plan?
Apparently we have more than enough cap space since we didn't roll 1.3 million of it over???

lol. I could see a team like the Jags not carry it over, if they still want to spend as less as possible and the extra cap space wouldn't count in subsequent years as part of their cap floor. Figured we're still looking for every loophole we can to spend.

@QCsportsreport
Told that Steve had a goodbye dinner at Jerry's, will be cut 2morrow. Likely will go to Tampa, Baltimore, New England or Philly. @Panthers Love some Smitty. Dude was the heart and soul of that team for quite a while.

Getting "paid" makes you drop balls?

The whole I got paid so now I just suck is a weak argument outsid of Fat Albert who just flopped on purpose I rarely see a guy just give up after a paycheck. A lot of times it is they changed teams and they just didn't work out in that scheme as well as their old team.

Some sources say Carlos coming back is a possibility. Can't rule it out.

Carlos' dropped ints are definitely frustrating. But the guy can cover very well and that's what our defense needs.

True, but if possible I'd rather have a guy like Verner over Rogers. If we do go the older cornerback route, I wouldn't give out any long term deals, but if we did I'd give them something that would give us an escape clause 2+ years down the road so we can get out of it when we need to.

Listen, I've heard way too many stories about Carlos Rogers from LL/HTTR to know that I do not want this dick wad back into the fold. He's one of those tools that can be found in the club most of the week blowing his money. Do not want. Do not need.

Re: Free Agency Begins in a Week, Whats the Plan?
Obviously, anything involving an older player, Rogers or anyone else, should reflect that in the contract. If Rogers wants to come back for a reasonable contract and fits the scheme Haz wants to play, great. I think, but am not sure, that a starting 3 CB rotation of Hall/Rogers/Amerson is an upgrade over Hall/Wilson/Amerson.
I don't honestly recall if Rogers/Hall meshed in terms of style - I don't think there was any bad blood between the two, that's not what I am saying - I just wonder if a D that works well for Hall also works well for Rogers and vice versa.

^ Actually we do need him. He can still cover.
I wouldn't want him as a starter though...bring him back as a nickel back and load up with top safeties behind him. Byrd or Ward.

Carlos wouldn't be bad, think they're better options
