Re: Our Secondary

It's our front 7 that is going to be the issue. IF they can generate pressure, the back won't matter as much. If they can't, we are up shit creek. This past week they generated little to no pressure on Foles with several of the Eagles starting OL out. That's a issue.

Wasn't Haslett going to unleash him to rush the passer this year?
According the Orakpo fan club, he was going to be a different player this year. I think the words were "you will see...I can't wait".
All kidding aside, I have been the biggest critic of Orakpo in the past for not keeping contain and gap responsibility when he wildly rushed the passer in the past. The ironic part is he has improved on that this year. Seriously, I have been impressed with him improving on that weakness he had, but he has not yet gotten the sacks yet. It is a long season - he still has time to get his sacks. .

Ryan Clark knows what he's doing. He recognizes the play in front of him. Alas, he has lost at least a step. Against Philly, he knew what to do but he just couldn't always get there to make the plays. Still, he's a short-term upgrade over what we had at that position.

That's not exactly a thrill since he looked like crap in the very short time he played in preseason.

No he hasn't and I still don't understand why he was signed but I love Breeland, loved him in college, I think Breeland and Amerson will be a good tandem for us, for the rest of the season.

Re: Our Secondary

They had pressure, philly just gameplanned to get the ball out in 3-4 seconds 85% of the time. I dont care who u are its hard to sack a guy that fast. .. we beat foles up a decent amount, little to no pressure is a near sighted remark

To go along with this, Keim says we sent an extra rusher on only 15 pass attempts against the Eagles.

They did? They only had 2 QB hits the whole day and 0 sacks. ZERO. Actually, 3-4 seconds is a lifetime in terms of a QB holding the ball. If they are holding over 2.7 seconds, it's too long. (may be long even then)

Even if he was getting the ball out fast (which he wasn't), it's up to the coach to counter that. Sounds like Haslett got out-coached yet again. THAT, I can buy.

I don't know about the 3 to 4 seconds but totally agree otherwise.

Their play calling was a lot of quick passes and reads.

Our pass rush with 4 could always improve but they were definitely game planning for it.

Re: Our Secondary

Breeland is going to have some growing pains but I'm fine with having a young guy out there. Im just worried his lack of speed will be exposed.

I hate RAK. doesn't show up in NFC east games. I would rather have Rob Jackson back.
