In 2012 when he was hurt, KC came in and ran the real Shanahan offense. Why? Why didn't they let Griffin run that offense? They were both rookies at the time. It was all pistol and read option. I think we now know why. They knew he couldn't run it so they designed an offense for him and it worked.

First credit Griffin's athleticism. The threat of the run greatly diminished the pass rush. Beyond that? Credit the Shanahans for designing something he could execute.

But don't credit them for developing him, he obviously hasn't developed at all.

Two things have to happen, if I am Gruden. First I am having a one-on-one meeting with RG and ask him WTF is going on? Show him in a room with Sean McVay and me, we watch the tape like his brother does on TV with incoming prospects and find out the real problem. This is a extreme regression. Second I having a group meetings with RG and O-line, RG and the WR/TE and let them communicate about trust. Why is there no trust?

It was one game.

His quotes today were flawless and I'm hoping he continues with that because it'll be easier for him to focus on winning.

Im going to support RG3 as or QB because im a fan and want him to win.

It's a little odd how one of the biggest mantras I've heard on this board and from Redskins Nation as a whole over the last few years is that our offensive line is bad and needs to be improved, but now suddenly, it's all on Griffin and he's the reason the line looks bad. Yeah, he does make the line look worse(that's a part of the game for any QB like Griffin), but it sucks with or without him. If the line doesn't get better, Griffin will never improve and any other QB we draft will go through the same thing.

You can't be the #2 overall pick, have had multiple draft picks traded for you, play in a system designed for quick releases, be "renowned" for your mobility...and not carry any of the blame for the team's offensives struggles. You just can't

I don't think he is denying his culpability. He may not understand the extent of it, but I have never gotten the sense he doesn't look to himself for improvement first.

Re: The RG3 Sucks - Knee Jerk Reaction Thread

Maybe we could package RGIII and our #1 pick and thus move up high enough to draft a new franchise QB.

If Robert keeps playing as he has been, we shouldn't have far up to move.

Alternatively, we could re-install his college offense and win a few games until he gets the crap beaten out of him for good.

I thought smoot was implying that sir lk was not blaming Griff, not Griff himself.

Cooley says RGIII "has the yips" because he is afraid of being hit. Could fear be the cause of his losing his poise and not executing the offense?

After 2 major knee surgeries to the same knee, knowing that one more will likely end his career how would most of us feel? I've been saying the same thing, he's playing scared and lacking confidence, not being able to focus. If he wants to make it in this league, he needs to get over it. Easier said than done.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's still a little shell shocked.

Nor would I. Let's face it, we all cringe when we see he's about to have contact.
