If we are in the top 5 pick and in to our QB situation...a QB draft pick should be in the discussion. And in my opinion there is only worth 1 QB talking about.

Wouldnt Saden be thrilled

Re: Your First round pick for the skins?

On the S front, here are some encouraging news and I like what I've seen:

2. One young player who will get some more playing time is Phillip Thomas. Brandon Meriweather did not practice yesterday and the word is that he will be out the last two games. Both Gruden and Jim Haslett have been impressed with him. Haslett said that Thomas really cut down on the mistakes a lot last week in his second start. Certainly nobody is willing to say that he’s the 2015 starter but it seems that he’s earning himself a shot.

Do you think that Mariota's game translates sufficiently into Gruden's offense to be worth a top pick? I don't.

O line has to be addressed first. I dont care if put Rogers, Brady, Luck, or Wilson back there..they would all get killed

I think you easily take any one of those 4 over the best tackle in the league. without question.

If the BPA is in an area of need then you take him...Id say trenches first in need, but you need to at least do your due dillegence with the QB spot. Thats all im saying

Nope. Since we beat Jax, they likely have to win more to influence our pick.

Edit:
I was wrong since strength of schedule determines things. We stand right now #5.

That's not how it works tiebreaker for draft is Stength of schedule..before the game we won that with Jax..once season is over will be more clear since we have two games left with teams with winning records.

Re: Your First round pick for the skins?

Definitely OL. One thing that's tough about pass rushers is the bust-rate. I read an article a few years back saying that was one of the most "busted" positions outside of WR. OL has the lowest bust rate of any position.

Jury is still out on Murphy, but right now he's looking like a better Adam Carriker.

I wasn’t sold on the Murphy pick admittedly, more down to the logic behind it at the time (pretty sure it happened after we’d resigned Orakpo), but he’s been quietly grading out pretty well. Only a few weeks back he was ranked 4th highest OLB in a 3-4 scheme against the run, which for a rookie is a very nice return.

Re: Your First round pick for the skins?

Right. Not sure how people took my comment, but a better Adam Carriker was a complement. Really tough against the run and I'll take that.

I would really like us to shift to the Seattle base defense. The 3-4 is not working here IMO
