Re: Your First round pick for the skins?
I'd say the best thing to do is get a safety 1st round just because there is more depth at O-line in this draft than safety. I think Collins is like a 8-11 pick, so maybe we could even move back and still get him. If you do that you could use the extra picks to move up to late 1st round for an OL. Being a 1st rounder means an extra year on the rookie contract.

Re: Your First round pick for the skins?
We likely will have a top 6 pick. You don't use such a pick on the OL except for LT, and we already have one of those. Paying two LT salaries is a cap buster. So IMO we don't draft a tackle right away.
Alternatively: Landon Collins, the Alabama safety as folks have discussed Or: Shawn Oakman, DE, Baylor. Feed the defensive front. Or: trade back into the later first, picking up a second rounder, then: late first: Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame early second: AJ Cann, guard, South Carolina late second (from trade): Derron Smith, FS, Fresno St.

Dallas has three young 1st Round picks playing on their OL - and they are good. We need to pick OL in the first round, too. I don't want any more shitty Redskins third round OL picks. Hell, we should give away our third round pick for what good it does us from year to year. I don't trust this FO to pick an OL in any round other than the first. I want a bonafide consensus stud so our FO doesn't have to think too much.

A 1st round pick doesn't guarantee anything, many busts out there.

Re: Your First round pick for the skins?
Take the best lineman available, offensive or defensive. The Skins have invested fewer high draft choices on linemen of all teams in the NFC East, so it's no wonder that the team sucks in the trenches.

Re: Your First round pick for the skins?
If Phillip Thomas is starting to develop and if we can count on him, we can draft Derron Smith in the second. They have experience playing with each other. That will allow us to use the first rounder elsewhere.

Re: Your First round pick for the skins?
If Leonard Williams is still there at say 5 then that must be a consideration surely? We will probably have a new DC and so it might be a case of "okay which young player do you want to build your future defence around?"

I think he will be a top 3 pick, but yes I'd take him at 5 over everyone

Re: Your First round pick for the skins?
In 2011, didn't we trade out of the 10th pick and move down? How'd that work out? I think JJ Watt was sitting there at that spot and we lost out on that pick. Not a fan of trading back in the first round. Get the best player. Hopefully that's a dominant player. Landon Collins reminds me of Landry, great hitter, great player in the box, but can he cover Zac Ertz? Shit, that dude had like 15 catches yesterday. Not sure Collins is that guy.
