How dumb does he look if he goes for it and we fail?... they would've scored a TD because as you pointed out our D was unable to stop them... 31 - 23 with 2 min to go is way better than 31-20 with 2 min to go...

Re: Cards vs Skins Postgame Freakout
I think it was like 4th and 9 and the way we were playing on offense, especially those last couple of drives, it didn't look like we would make it anyway. I would have probably preferred a punt here.

Redskins' Jay Gruden blasts team after 'frustrating' loss to Cardinals
Jay Grudes rippin' this team a second asshole, I like it. Too sloppy yesterday, too many penalties, the bad start, the strip sack, d not getting off the field. Our next 3 are against bad teams right now, we have to take advantage.

Re: Cards vs Skins Postgame Freakout
Positives:
-Fat Rob -The O-line considering Long went down early. A part from Lauvao they all did a good job. -Mason Foster. IMO the guy is quietly having a really good season. Made some plays against the run, always solid tackles, made a beautiful diving deflection on a pass play. -Sua Cravens also made some great plays. Even when he was beaten on pass plays he was covering pretty good. -Defense kept us until the 4th quarter. Negatives: -Defense getting picked apart in the 4th quarter. -Safeties. -Pre-snap penalties on offense (false starts, illegal shift...) -Redzone offense -Dropped passes in the first half. -That holding call on Norman on 3rd down late in the 4th (before they scored their last TD) was a bad one.

Re: Cards vs Skins Postgame Freakout
The most frustrating thing about this team, I believe, is their inability to put together a complete game. Or even 3 solid quaters. We've seen it happen too many times this year, especially coming slow out the gate, looking flat and unfocused.

Re: Cards vs Skins Postgame Freakout
The Redskins defense is your prototypical bend and more often than not break defense. They'll get some stops, and they'll look decent against an average or below average offense. However, against a decent QB, with a decent O-line, a couple playmakers, and a capable play caller they are going to give up 25-30+ points. That puts a lot of pressure on the offense, and is not a recipe for success to make it to the playoffs, or make any noise if they happen to get there.

I didn't say bend but don't break. I said bend and "more often than not break" defense. They definitely break...which is why the offense usually has to put up 30+ points for them to have a chance. |

Re: Cards vs Skins Postgame Freakout
Not being able to get off the field on 3rd and long, failing in the red zone, and the sack/fumble, which resulted into an Arizona TD, cost us yesterday.

Re: Cards vs Skins Postgame Freakout
I like when we got down to the redzone yesterday and we ran Fat Rob for 4 yards down to the 1 and then we did a QB sneak for the TD.
That happened didn't it? Because I question my memory at this point, because that's the correct sequence....but it doesn't seem real coming from this team. Can someone verified we ran the ball and the QB sneak?
