And last night I watched Smith hesitate and double clutch until the receiver ran open, and by then it was too late to throw.

In the post-game press conference Gruden is up there saying we need to make sure we get our quarterback into plays he's comfortable with. For me, that translates directly to: we're finding out that our QB isn't comfortable with as much as our old one was.

Not a good sign at all. Bruce Allen should be canned now so a new GM can get in and get organized ahead of the draft.
This post is really long.

The season will be over for this team soon and we will all be pulling for a team to win. Mine is the Vikings and Captain Kirk. Whats wrong with that?
I think it is funny how you hold only Jay accountable. He is terrible don’t get me wrong. But Bruce and Dick fucking up the quarterback situation is just as much to blame. Even if you hated Cousins and refuse to admit that they had ample opportunity to lock him up.
I'm not going to get into this, you have this fantasy illusion that he wanted to stay here. I just don't get it, but whatever, keep fantasizing.

Hell, even if Kirk wanted to be here, there is no way he could have been successful with Jay as a coach. To me he is the main problem, you could have had Tom Brady under center last night, but with the shitty coaching and terrible way the o-line play, he would have played poorly as well (see NE's game against Jacksonville this season).

Ill be rooting for him and the Vikings for the rest of the year since my team has shown me once again that they aren’t ready to compete with the big boys. Or even the medium to small size boys. Whatever the fuck that means. Fuckin fucks.
Punch stop it man, we all know he wanted out.. Players inside the locker room (CT) and former players (cooley) all said he had no signs of wanting to stay. If you watch his doc on NFLN its clear he wanted that big payday more than staying with us. I am a big Cousins fan , I truly believe he was as good a QB as we have ever had, yes I mean ever had but that is not on Jay or Bruce. We went out and got a good QB not great to replace him

This is all I ever got from him. I used to wish him success, but it's clear we all fell for his "aw shucks, golly guys" routine. Maybe he is a super nice guy, but in the end, it wasn't the Skins fault for what he ended up doing to them. The Skins are maybe 25% to blame for not locking him up sooner, but beyond that, it's ALL on him.

When someone invokes God in the name of contracts, that's a problem...

I guess how you feel about Kirk wanting to be here or not dictates how you feel about him. I think he was a whiny little phony that did not want to be here. He played us perfectly. Good for him. But I'll be rooting against him the rest of his career. Bye Felicia. Alex might not be as good but at least I can respect our QB now and maybe actually beat Dallas.

Gruden is a likable guy but an unlikable coach. One is more important. Time to move on.

People really need to get over this Cousins thing already.

You and I both know that will never happen until the Redskins win consistently. Until then, it will all be about what could have been.

That was sickening. I'm one to always look (reach) for positives. It'll be hard on that one. I'll still watch the tape, to understand. But this was just BAD.

This led me to vote Coaches as the biggest reason of the debacle. When it's that awful across the board, it's on the HC.

After being put back in our place and embarrassed again, there really is nothing positive to talk about. We're still a mediocre 2nd tier team.

just watched the defensive tape, bad bad bad. Scheme was horrible, Busted coverage all night long.. No pass rush, Payne and Allen are still balling every week tho. I will get feedback on the Offensive side (I only had the D to do).

Brees had it easy last night

All this fuss over a QB who went 26-30-1 here.

As usual after a loss too much focus on the QB in general.

Granted Smith did not play well at all, but the breakdowns on D and with the OL were more of a concern to me.

My favorite play was when the game was still close and we had the ball around their 10. It was 3rd down and Brandon Scherff let his guy run right in and crush Smith while he stood there in the open field with no one around him doing nothing. Whether it was a miscommunication or not, and I love Scherff, that play just summed up the whole game perfectly.

It was like playing Madden on rookie mode. You don't often see guys running that wide open in the NFL. Pathetic performance by the secondary.
