![]() The line held up better then I thought it would but still not opening the holes needed for AD to succeed{except on the goal line for this game}.I don't think Thompson or Crowder coming back is gonna make much difference, they werent doing that great anyway. Both Smith and Colt made some heads up plays on getting away from the Texans pressure on a few snaps. I think Colt will be able to do just as well as Smith, maybe better, but he's more likely to throw an interception also{takes more chances} Colt is also injury prone, I will be surprised if he makes it thru the season, especially when the coach calls running plays for you and no backup qb on the sideline ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Texans Postgame
The play call was dumb to begin with, why would u throw an out route into double coverage anyway?

Re: Texans Postgame
I could be way off but the first thing i thought when i saw that is that maybe Jay / Colt was hoping we'd get a pass interference penalty, that would have set us up within field goal scoring range.

Yea! So that means we get the win and are now 7-3 right? I mean it would have been a chip in for Hopkins. At the very least give us an asterisk right? |

Re: Texans Postgame
I can see it know playoff tiebreakers add a new line: most nfl acknowledged blown calls. If you are tied head to head the next one is how many blown calls the nfl acknowledged based on a in game ranking system if it happened in the 4th quarter and whether it was for or against your team

Re: Texans Postgame
This is one of those calls that really, really bugs me in a "woulda shoulda" way. Generally, I am a firm believer that "blame it on the refs" is a BS attitude; play well enough so that it is not in the refs hands. However, there are times ...
For example, when blatant PI is non-called on the next to last play of the game (I think-at most there were two more plays including the failed FG), the refs had just called a ticky-tack foul on an opposing player minutes before - allowing opposing team to be in a position to score, and, the acknowledged blown call almost certainly changed the outcome of the game. Sure, the Skins should have played better, but, given the loss of their starting QB, they showed a lot of heart in not just folding. The specific official responsible for the non-call should be disciplined and fined, and the Referee, as head of the officiating crew should be as well. Game changing sh** needs to be corrected. SIDE RANT: What gets me these days is the uneven enforcement on penalties - particularly for PI & offensive and defensive holding. At this point, I just don't know game to game what is a penalty. ... and I am not just talking about the Skins games. You could be watching two games at the same time and a holding or PI penalty called in one is a no-call in the other. It's ridiculous. SIDE RANT No. 2: I saw a recommendation that defensive should be changed so as not to include an automatic first down. I am behind that 100%.
