Re: Brian LaFemina Out Less Than 1 Year In

Lafemina wanted Bruce gone and went to Dan about it. This is per Chris Russell.

He also went directly to Dan and Bruce about corporate ticket holders being upset about the Rueben Foster signing, about other things, and was canned for it.

People can speculate whatever they want, but that is what the beat writers are posting right now.

Snyder is becoming increasingly unhinged. This is some North Korea level shit going on right now.

I can see the reasoning and think this is believable...

But on the other hand you need a more credible source than Chris Russell.

From Burgundy Blog:

#Redskins finally brought in competent, reputable, untainted outside help to repair their reputation. Gave 'em a few months. Didn't get it. Fired 'em. They like their insulated bubble of chronic failure. Worst organization in North American pro sports.

Another Twitter post

Lafemina wanted Bruce out. Lafemina & his crew now are gone less than eight months after being hired. This is the "Baptism of Fire" at the end of The Godfather. Bruce is Michael Corleone. He ain't going nowhere. #Redskins

Re: Brian LaFemina Out Less Than 1 Year In

I'm going to say something that will piss a few off... In light of the past few weeks, and in light of the miracle worker that is Nick Foles, I'm pulling for the Eagles this weekend. Not so much that I want the Redskins to lose, but I would like to see Foles take the Eagles to the promised land again, win another Super Bowl MVP and create a bunch of chaos in the Eagles front office while they try to figure out what to do with a two time Super Bowl MVP who isn't the guy you wanted to be "The" guy. What can I say, I love an underdog story. Either that or Josh Johnson has to lead the skins to a dominant win, killing the Eagles chance at the playoffs. Gotta sign the kid as a backup to whoever we get to replace Alex Smith if he doesn't return.

Switch the avatar you bum.

It's real easy to root for chaos and disfunction in your rivals without rooting for them to win another SB.

Shut up. You’re a Redskins fan that likes living in shit, and gets mad when other Redskins fans start to wonder what they’re actually rooting for in this crap organization

We're out of it... why not root for the Eagles to win the Super Bowl again? I'm a football fan first and foremost, I like a good story, and again, we're out of it. The Redskins went out of their way to be out of it over a 4 game stretch including the defense packing it in 3 plays into the Giants game.

I've worked in awful organizations. Shit bubbles up after awhile and people see that no matter how stupid a decision is, the organization just seems to love stupid decisions. Eventually, employees start acting out. The Redskins are there. I don't hate my Redskins but I do hate Snyder and BA. So, unless the league strikes a win from someone and we miracle ourselves into the playoffs, I'm watching Nick Foles do Nick Foles things and day dreaming that we sign him this offseason and somehow he remains this version of Nick Foles.

How is Josh Johnson not a great underdog story?

Pulling for the eagles too. Foles is just a great story. I don’t care what team he plays for. It’s a good story. And if he takes them to a super bow it means he’s kept Dallas out which is the biggest win for me.

Plus a loss gives the skins a better draft position. I’m hoping to see the redskins let the backups get some playing time and experience. See who is cheap that we can build around.

I’m also all for tanking 2019. Trading guys like Trent Williams and Ryan Kerrigan for whatever we can get, cutting Norman and Smith and taking the full cap hit in 2019. It’ll be crippling, but we could be ready to begin building something for real in 2020.

I think in order to get out of this rut, we must shed anyone tradable that wont be at their prime in 2021. we’ve got to hit rock bottom and do a full reset. No more of this “retooling” shit. We need a full rebuild from the ground up if we have any hope of every maintaining some level of sustained success

If you have to ask what’s wrong with rooting for a division rival...

Re: Brian LaFemina Out Less Than 1 Year In

So you would rather root for the Eagles instead of rooting for the Skins to knock them out of playoff contention??

That’s just dumb.
