Re: NFL Free Agency Thread
He wouldn't count against the compensatory pick formula so that's a feather in his cap.
At this point I'd recommend a patient approach on safety. Mike Adams, Tre Boston, Glover Quin, Jahleel Addae, Darian Stewart, and plenty of others are still available. The supply is going to outstrip the demand. I'd be looking at guards and let the safety market come to me.

I like what the're doing ,I think it's a little strange anytime Odell would screw up you guys would jump on it but now you seem to be concerned the Giants trade Odell . We gained and additional 2.5 million so far but next year with Odell ,Vernon and Eli off the books they will have over 90 million .They just sign Golden Tate and a O lineman and will build the D in the draft, yes, I like this alot. As for a QB ,maybe trade for Rosen or grab a youngin this year or even wait till next .......I don't care I like Gettlemans plan.

Re: NFL Free Agency Thread
I thought the plan was even if they did not resign him they would get the 4th round pick back as a compensatory pick. Does this contract even get them a 7th round compensatory pick?

Re: NFL Free Agency Thread
I don't know much about him, but I bet Tre Boston would be far superior to Ha-ha. I'd be ok with that, especially since they threw so much coin into safety. No sense in a great safety with someone as wimpy as Ha-ha. We definitely need someone better

Re: NFL Free Agency Thread
I still haven't given up on Montae Nicholson, he's shown some flashes of tremendous potential. Do you guys think he'd have the range/speed to switch to FS ?

Re: NFL Free Agency Thread
Definitely has the range, that's not an issue. Angles, reading and reacting, avoiding overpursuit, those are his issues. Mostly the mental stuff. I still think he can become a good one but I definitely need to see a lot of growth this year or I'll be at the point where we have to write him off.

Re: NFL Free Agency Thread
Solid players on the board at Guard and Safety.
WR is tougher, but Geronimo Allison is a burner at Green Bay and they put the lowest tender available on him. Id give him a look....also slot and boundary corner has a couple really nice players available as well. The biggest name out there surprisingly is Suh, really interested where he would go. Man, let me dream real quick, Jonathan Allen-Payne-Suh-Matty I......damn that would be fun.

When he came back it often felt like he was playing scared, scared of contact. Not blaming him for that, but I hope he can overcome that, I think he has the potential to become a very good player.
