Re: Dwayne Haskins
So now that we know that Rosen is going to go to Miami for their 2nd round pick, we can discuss what we'd rather have had:
What we did: Haskins (15) and Sweat (26) with no 2nd rounder next year. OR What we could have done: Sweat (15), Rosen with our 2nd, and we keep our 2nd next year. Personally, i'm happy with what we've done. The more I read about Rosen, the more I doubt he has the potential to be an elite QB. Haskins could be a bust, but i could also see him developing into an elite QB. Rosen would condemn us to continued mediocrity. To me, the chance of having a true franchise QB is worth the added cost of our 2020 2nd rounder.

Re: Dwayne Haskins
I bet he'll ask Dougie for #17 and he'll get it. He'd look good with #1. Maybe #15 to help him remember.

Re: Dwayne Haskins
As a Redskins fan since 1968 and a Columbus, Ohio resident since 1974 (and thereby an involuntary observer of all things Buckeyes since then), let me tell you that this is a tremendous pick at No. 15. Haskins has the potential to be one of the dominant QB's of the next 20 years in NFL. His mental skills are off the charts. He truly has a thunderbolt of an arm. But his lack of experience is his Achilles heal (along with the fact that the Skins barely have a single NFL caliber receiver on heir roster).
But Haskins needs to be developed slowly. Don't "throw him into the fire" and kill his incredible ability to read defenses and find the open receiver. Don't make him jumpy. Getting Haskins is a gift. He is without a doubt a potential all-pro QB. He should be worked into his roll along with the team committing to use their first round pick next year on a WR and go get another one in UFA. Give him the weapons and this kid can take the Skins back to the top. I have seen him make so many unbelievable plays at OSU. And he is so smart. Damn this is our chance to start the climb back to respectability if we do not screw him up. |

By the way, the kid will not worry about his jersey number. He is very mature.

Won’t sell many tickets... like Case/Colt would? Kevin is underselling Haskins a bit.

Re: Dwayne Haskins
So using some of this logic I’m hearing Sweat may not be that good because teams passed on him?? Lots of experts on these forums😀!! Bottom line is If handled properly Haskins can be the franchise QB this team needed.. how about the teams that passed on Other QB’s in the past drafts only to regret it big time later.. I’m so glad we did not pass on Haskins and take a another position that at the end of the day just would not matter.. QB is the most important position of all sports end of story!

Re: Dwayne Haskins
Haskins is a stud.
Jay should be able to really stretch and attack vertically with his arm talent. |

Re: Dwayne Haskins
Haskins big? Is facing pressure, he wasn't that great when rushed or harrased. Has some good throws though even when hit but not consistent enough.
