Those clips were against the Giants defense. And his hot streak at the end of the season came against bottom half defenses mostly. Worth noting. At the same time his supporting cast aside from Terry was not great, either. Not bad for a rookie and I am very intrigued about 2020 with Dwayne.

Re: Haskins in his own words
Another point about Haskins is that he was hampered by a sprained ankle for nearly all the games he played in. He's more mobile than he was able to show. Whenever he was able, he was mobile in the right way: avoiding the rush, keeping his eyes downfield with the idea of throwing and running when required.
Whatever areas he needs to improve in can be taught and practiced. His arm, his feel for the game, his desire to learn and get better, his toughness, his willingness to lead, his ambition to be a great player and his strong desire to win were already his when he arrived here. I encourage everyone here to watch the videos of his leading OSU to big comeback wins against Michigan and Maryland and you'll see what he's all about. |

Re: Haskins in his own words
If anybody doesn't look at that film and see how vast the improvement was from his first two games, they can't be helped.
Can't wait to see what he does with more time, more experience, and more help on offense.

Re: Haskins in his own words
I expect a jump forward but how much of a jump forward depends on how much of an off-season we get.
His confidence will be much better than at the beginning of last season. So that's a plus. But we have a new system to learn. And he has new targets to gel with. So ... it wouldn't shock me to see him start slowly again. But show consistent improvement as the season progresses. It may fall in nicely to Rivera's pattern of having very good Decembers. I'm bullish on the season, because I think Haskins will improve, and our Defense will be shockingly effective. |

Re: Haskins in his own words
I wish he would have said how much time he will be putting in cleaning up that sloppy footwork and throwing motion.

Some short clips of Dwayne throwing the ball with Antonio Brown, Ocho Cinco and Stefon Diggs. Nothing much to it.

Said HC/staff not preparing him to start then threw him in as starter. HC fired during the season. Bengals have a much better WRs corps. |

Re: Haskins in his own words
I'm not saying we are making the playoffs but we have a far better chance than Cincy does.

Re: Haskins in his own words
Cincinnati made some major moves to bolster the offense around Burrow. Certainly more than we did. That may not be enough, but Cincinnati did not stand idle this past off-season. So they will have to play the games before there is a verdict about who did what successfully or not.

Re: Haskins in his own words
I think the worse situation for Dwayne is the lack of a preseason with a new head coach going into ur first year as a full time starter. We cannot afford to warm up early on against that schedule.
As for his weapons so much rides on the health of our o line and Guice it isn’t even funny. |
