I don't think we would have to change our colors in any case. Neither Edgar Allen Poe nor Ravens are purple. Jets tend not to be green. Panthers are not whatever that color is down there.

I’m good with WFT but it’s not going to stay that.. They wouldn’t have Joe Gibbs do a video to keep it that name.. Ron also said the team has ordered all of the gear for next year as well. Most seem to think it’ll be commanders which I’m cool with as long as they keep the W logo

Keeping the temporary name wasn't an option anymore the minute they decided to go through a 2 years+ process and communicated all the way about how it was thorough and inclusive and all...

While I tend to agree with what you say, you are assuming that WFT is being open and honest about how they are conducting the the process. I don't trust the WFT organization to be honest about anything.

It's not really about wether they are honest about it or not.

It's about how stupid sticking with the temporary name after communicating about how great their rebranding process was for 2 years would make them look.

And I do think Jason Wright has done a fairly good job of being as transparent as he could be while conducting the rebranding of a billions dollars company.

I agree about Jason Wright but he's good at telling us what he wants us to know.

I'm not saying its about them being honest, I'm saying that based on WFT's past bad behavior and cover-ups its hard to take what they say seriously. Although its not impossible to make WFT look any worse than it already does, they can always go lower.

What if this two years with WFT is the rebranding process?

There's 0 chance they took 2 years to say we're sticking with the WFT. Plus, wasn't there some trademark hangups about that name anyway? Either way, there's going to be a new name.

Does ANYONE want decades of commentators deliberately saying "Washington Football Team" instead of just "Washington"? Really? With that still going on, and the 2 year consultation, does anyone actually believe they'll stick with WFT?

I think it is pretty idiotic that commentators cannot just stick to saying Washington though. It is pretty simple. I know that wasn't your question, but it drives me nuts.

I would guess they are trying to train themselves to cease uttering Redskins, which most of them keep doing.

Funny thing is a lot of commentators weren't using Redskins for the past few years, just Washington. Now all of a sudden they want to go out of their way to say Football Team? It's just trolling by some of them if you ask me.
