Yes, he's the total package man. He has that special IT factor that we have seen with Rodgers, Wilson , Mahomes etc. There isn't a throw he can't make and he's a great athlete as well.

Yes.
6' 6" 220 pounds
In just 2 1/4 seasons he has 81 TD's, 13 interceptions and 8,489 passing yards.
794 yards rushing and 14 rushing TD's
When you watch Lawrence in games (not highlights) he jumps off the screen. He is the complete deal and is very poised. True freshman National Champion. He has stuck around and gained the experience. His accuracy is very good.
Having given it more thought, I would be fine with losing the rest of the games to get him. The problem is other teams doing the same thing.

Well then we need to sell everything in order to acquire enough assets to move up for this kid. Anybody of value - sold.

This team is close to winning imo. The DL is a great core that gives us a window from 2021 to 2025. We intentionally didnt spend in FA this year.

Cap next year is expected to SHRINK to 175M ... that means teams like New Orleans who would be 70M over the cap already may cut Brees.

2021 free agency is going to be the strangest year ever imo. Teams may be cutting some real studs.

LT Ronnie Stanley
QB - Brees or Ryan or some other vet option may be there

We can become competitive over night in the offseason. We are well positioned and loaded with resources.

I see the logic, and I definitely agree on the reasoning of bringing in a vet if you can't get the player you want in the draft (rather than risk a pick on a guy you can't be confident about). But personally I'd avoid a vet that's tailing off. Brees looks to me like his arm is finally dying on him and Newton looks like the same passer he was in Carolina the last couple of years. While he is a prototypical pocket passer, I'd prefer Ryan, albeit he would absolutely need 2-3 more quality players to target. We'd need at least 1 if not 2 quality WR's, a quality receiving TE and another threat out of the backfield to go with Gibson (in the Chris Thompson mould). At least Cam can still run, but the likes of Brees and Ryan mean you have to have weapons they can throw to, as they definitely can't run.

I'd even consider Fitzmagic in the same category.

I like the idea of pieces in place before drafting a QB. Did that for Robert's rookie year. Stanley is a stud but that is a lot of dough he will command. If we are sitting at 2 or 3 a lot of people seem to be high on Sewell out of Oregon.

I agree normally but not when it is someone like Lawrence. Let him sit and learn the offense while we assemble a line in front of him.

If we end up at one I agree or if the Jets do something amazingly Jet like in the draft we take him second. We could lose out and I think the Jets still have the 1. They are so bad.
