I wouldn't expect to see Gibson this week, and I hope they wait until he is 100% before putting him out there. I think they can get to the playoffs without him, but he will be crucial to any success once in.

If we lose this game I fully expect to finish 8-8 still so I will not get all down and out Sunday

I see this game as a prelude to the playoffs with specific potential outcomes:

1) we lose and our offense is inept = no hope in playoffs
2) we lose or win a close game, but our whole team fights = sets up intriguing rematch in 1st round
3) we win going away on both sides - hope beyond the first round

Defense has been playing great no doubt, but lets not forget Pittsburgh had 7 dropped passes, and we barely beat Nick Mullins.Russell Wilson is a whole different story,I dont care how many times he's been sacked.Seattle wins going away because our qb play is terrible.

If Smith plays, we have a small chance. If Haskins plays it's a 10 point L

This is how I feel. People are getting too caught up in thinking we are the 85 Bears. No doubt this d is getting better. They played lights out last week. But we have also gotten some breaks playing some backup qb's. This week is an elite Qb w/ top wr's. I just feel like our offense will keep giving the ball back to Wilson and he will end up making some big plays.

We’ve played 2 mediocre games on offense and manage to win because of the defense. Football is a game that sometimes involves luck, the last 4 games since the Cincy game a key player/players on the opposing team have been lost due to injury early in the games. I still think the mindset of this D is what I expected, you have players that were stars in college who have been losing for the last couple of years. This D is hungry and is pissed off, they are on a mission to prove they are for real. I think our O will be better this week, should be a hell of a game. If they win, the so called experts are going to believe.

Re: WFT v Seattle predictions/pregame talk

Seattle is tough to run on, but they give up the most passing yards in the NFL. If DH doesn't turn the ball over they should be fine. He has three INTs in four and a half games, but all those came against Cleveland. With a week to prepare (assuming) I like our chances even with DH.

Doesn't look like Alex is doing anything in practice today. Gibson is working with the trainers (Keim).

Well, I hope Smith's work ethic rubbed off on him, otherwise it's gonna be a long Sunday.

Maybe. I think RR could be giving Smith needed rest and still roll him out there on Sunday.
