Exactly! You can’t have 20% bad plays at QB no matter how good the other plays are.

This team is lost with Rivera

Re: Lions postgame

Mayo
Bostic
McCain
Jackson

Are someone elses trash we picked, all 4 suck and don’t belong in this roster. Go get Blake Martinez, play Holmes and Castro-Fields, I bet they are better than Jackson and McCain.

We are going to have to be like the Saints of the past, score 30 plus and hope to stop the opponents to 27

Agree. Don't over think it, hire Fangio.

At this point, give Wade a call.

Won't happen though. Rivera is a defensive guy and wouldn't bring in another credible guy to fix it from the outside.

They have to know how bad it is, wonder how much autonomy JDR actually has running the defense. If it's his show, firing him maybe a solution. If he is following Ron's orders, then firing him wouldn't make any difference with Ron still calling the shots.

Really curious about JDR roasting Jamin Davis in the media. Doesn't seem like an effective coaching strategy, but he may be scapegoating the LB (doesn't excuse the rest of the defense), or signaling he knows it's bad, but not his call.

RR and JDR are well aware of getting burned on the CBs playing off, way more than we are here. The only real question, is why don't they change the scheme?

Something has to change soon.

Re: Lions postgame

Rivera thinks he's a great HC. The problem is, it's completely false. He is actually a terrible HC. And if you take away his amazing 15-1 year, his record would be a complete and utter joke.

Re: Lions postgame

- Go to Fedex today for the Andrews air show
- Get my 14k steps in and spend 8 hours roasting in the 90 degree heat
- Absolutely exhausted
- Make it back to Fedex somehow without hearing what the score is despite my Redskins hat
- Walking back to car, strike up convo with Fedex parking lot staffer and cop, start talking football
- First thing out of my mouth is "just don't tell me anything about the Skins game today, I recorded it"
- Parking lot staffer immediately says "they played a tough one today, came up just short against the Lions"
- Jaw drops like wtf did I just say?
- Traffic sucks, almost 2 hours to get home
- Get home turn game on anyways, wtf is wrong with picture?
- Fucking Verizon Fios, I recorded the game on 5 instead of 505 - have to watch the Skins lose in low-def.
- Fucking watch our yearly "this is the most embarrassing half of football I've ever seen" meltdown in low-def.
- Fuckin JDR man. Jesus fuck.
- Can't fucking win when you have to play an immaculate half of football just to come back from 3 score deficit.
- Fucking paper tiger defense you wack motherfuckers.

I really hope the Air Show was awesome.

Re: Lions postgame

@ChadwikoTWW
I've seen enough.

Jack Del Rio should be fired as Defensive Coordinator.

Make Chris Harris interim DC for rest of 2022.

Young talented defenders not developing
Guys playing out of position
Man coverage corners being played in a soft zone D
No improvement from 2021

It's time.

This O should have no problem getting 4 scores a game. What is really disconcerting about the D is the volume of big plays given up. That to me should be resolvable but keeps being an issue.

Re: Lions postgame

JDR sucks. But Rivera keeps him around. Fire the disease and the symptom will leave. Rivera is a shitty HC. Plain and simple. JDR and Rivera jerk each other off. 2 old dinosaurs that have won a combined 0 Super Bowls as coaches. And they will retire with 0 too.

I think Wentz is who he is. He isn't a pin point passer but he can also make some big plays which he did. But yeah the first half he held on the ball too long and took some bad sacks but the line was getting blown up. I think he is the least of our problems. Today he had no running game at all and the Lions d-line was just teeing off.

Also Turner needs get out of shotgun every once in a while. He kept doing play action out of gun and no one was respecting that shit at all.

You don't see that too much in NFL games. Almost 200 yards is just pathetic. These guys just aren't that good.

I'm not surprised they're this bad. They weren't any good last year and it's basically the same guys.

Jacksonville missed numerous easy plays last week so this should not be a surprise at all. Lions scored 35 last week against the Eagles. What did you think they were going to do against us?

Going to have to win games 35 to 31.
