I thought this would be a 60 minute shoot out, and though it wasn't over until it was over, I couldn't help thinking we'd got it won when they had to clock the ball with 5:44 still on the clock. Virtually mistake free football, outstanding. Keys for me, mostly come on D. bend but don't break and take opportunities as they're presented. Yeah they got big plays, but that's what we already knew about the Detroit O, key was we never let those big plays break us. Sainristil almost always in the right place at the right time. DL stiffening against the run and getting pressure on Goff can't be underestimated. Whoever we play next, that's important. Of course you have to give massive credit to JD5, 38 offensive points v the #1 seed is fantastic, but that would have been a big shoot out had the D not got those turnovers; we stopped 5 drives and they still got 31 points. I'm glad its a Sunday, I get a day to recover! 😁 |

Well I keep buying lottery tickets! But I'd be more likely to travel for/during the season than move; no offense, but your political situation lacks a certain appeal.

Re: Keeping the dream alive post game thread
I just can't believe it. I meant to post last week when we beat the Buccaneers. I remember the last time we did that in the playoffs, Mark Brunell was my favorite skins player and one of my favorite QB's as a kid growing up. He only passed for 41 yards of offense, but we beat them. Him and JD are the only QB's that have won a playoff game THIS DECADE.
I must be honest and think that I did not think they could beat the lions, but they beat them convincingly and should be able to beat anyone. I was 7 years old the last time they played in a championship game. I am tremendously excited. Congratulations to everyone you deserve to enjoy these moments!

Re: Keeping the dream alive post game thread
Thank you so much. I've been meaning to come back on for a while. I can't remember the last time I was really posting.
I took a long break after the name change, and posted sort of sporadically after that. I think I've been gone for a while. I had a daughter in October of 2022, we are expecting again and due in May of this year, don't know the gender yet but are hoping for a girl. I'm going to try and make a more regular presence in here. I've been a member here since 2009(!!!) and we've been through everything in here together. Like all of us, hoping for a win next week, I never in my wildest dreams would have even thought I would have lived long enough to see what happened last night, let alone if we end up in the Superbowl. Still shocked but maybe not surprised that our greatest success has came 2 years after Dan Snyder was gone!

Re: Keeping the dream alive post game thread
I canÂ’t remember the last time I watched a SkinsÂ’s game(that was this important )being so content on whatever happens happens, as a matter fact, I know itÂ’s never happened before.
We have just performed so far over expectations, yesterday was a good day. Last week I was complaining about going for it so much on fourth downs, and It started again right away yesterday and it didnÂ’t start off good,BUT they kept their resolve, kept doing it and were very successful,be stupid to argue with the results. It was nice to have some luck on our side for once also.Yes we had that BS facemask call, but we got away with the shot to GoffÂ’s head, and that 4th down throw to Bates(that basically sealed the game)big time holding on us taking place that wasnÂ’t called, how ref missed that I donÂ’t know(Thank God the Lions donÂ’t have a Clay Martin on their side). Also,Lattimore made it through a game with no pass interference calls! ![]()
