That was a pretty amazing display by Rackers...it reminded me of an old school McDonalds commercial starring NBA Greats Larry Bird(my all-time favorite player) and Micheal Jordan playing H*O*R*S*E and bouncing balls off the rafters and the score board...all net everytime. Great stuff. Now I need to see that commercial again...LOL.

Hard to believe the Racker's thing was real...but it was...amazing.

Well you remember they did one for football right? They had Chip Lohmiller and Pete Stoyanivich kicking fieldgoals with their helmets on backwards and junk. Not as well remembered (obviously) as the Jordan-Bird spot, but was funny to see they considered Lohmiller and Stoyanivich as the top-tier kickers then.

At the Arizona game last year, I was sitting near some loud Cardinals fans. They were vocally calling for Rackers on every third down near the end zone. Not hoping for a first down, or touchdown, but for a field goal.

This tells me two things.
  1. The Arizona football fans doesn't care a steaming pile if their team wins games. It's just a nice way to spend an afternoon.
  2. Rackers really is that good.

Maybe they don't trust their center or holder.

Rackers is awesome. I've had him on my fantasy teams for the last two years and hope I get him again this year.

I will work it then. I'll ask his sister (which is good because she's one of my users that I support) to set up a time that he and I can get together. I wasn't familiar with him until this draft class, and apparently he's some up-and-comer draft-wise.

He's NFL Networks version of Mel Kiper. Minus the helmet hair.

Bad ass. I didn't know all that. When I talked to her, she was all non-chalant about it. Like it was one of those things where I jokingly said, "Yeah, I was reading some football today and this guy had the last name of Mayock. You wouldn't happen to be related would you?" And it was those one-in-a-million shots that she was like, "Yeah, he's my brother."

Craziness.

Re: Neil Rackers....K Cardinals

He and Shayne Graham did an exhibition of how to kick during the Pro Bowl skills competition. Kicking into a stiff wind, both guys were nailing incredible shots.

Then you're obviously not a Terps fan. He basically won the Terps the ACC championship in 2001 with his clutch kicking against GT. He'll be good once he gets a shot.

I'm just not really a college football fan in general.

Re: Neil Rackers....K Cardinals

I remember when Novak started...he missed 7 of his first 11 before hitting before sending the Terps into OT with a 46 yarder against Ga Tech on a Thursday night. Changed his career.

However, I see him being an average kicker at best in the NFL.
