Re: Redskins @ Bucs: Campbell Predictions

this is the perfect game for campbell to debut, against a pretty poor team, with not too much pressure as what it could have been. i think he will pass for 220 2 td and 1 int, 15 rushing yards

Re: Redskins @ Bucs: Campbell Predictions

You know what, I know Campbell is going to be taking his first snaps in the NFL but at the same time I'm expecting him to play well, or at least show some serious flashes of competence.

If he totally stinks I'm going to be worried. He's had a season and a half to sit and learn, I don't think it's totally unrealstic to expect him to be able to come in and at least look the part of a starting NFL QB.

We've all heard the book on him, good arm, good feet, smart kid, I definitely want to see some of that right away.

Does anyone else agree? Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting him to come in and throw for 300 yards and 3 TDs, but I am expecting something a little more than I would from a real rookie QB.

i totally agree. i give him the first 2 series to get used to game speed, and then he should be adjusted

It all depends Matty, his college resume seems to say that he can pick things up by seeing not just doing -- but some QBs just need that game time.

doesnt matter how he does agains the bucs.. campbell is in for one hell of a test. eagles, falcons, saints, giants.. talk about being thrown to the dogs.. we need to make some major GM moves to make anything work for next year.

Thrown to the Dogs? He is paid to be a starting QB and has had 1 1/2 years to prepare for this day. Thats not throwing him to the dogs.

I agree.

He has to play sometime.

It's sink or swim time.

It's better than testing him in Week 1 of next year without an already-lost season.

I don't care how bad his stats look, we must keep him in for the rest of the year to get him experience to completely take over our future next year. I'm very excited to see him in a REAL game finally.

Oh, adding to that "thrown to the dogs" sentiment...he's doing it without Clinton Portis too. More pressure on him.

I really hope Duckett can block better than Betts.

I think he'll show some flashes, but make his share of mistakes as well. In the long run, I think he'll lead us to a win. The guy has been a winner all his life.

3 td's 1 fumble. JC hits Cooley twice in the redzone and Moss on a bomb........Redskins win 24-17.

I predict Campbell's stats as follows: 13/24, 190 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs. The offense will rack up 175 passing yards and 140 rushing yards. The team will squeak out a narrow victory of 17-14, but not because of Jason Campbell.

Our defense is awful but we will hold them to 14 points? I think the Skins need to score at least 24 to win.

Not against the sh-tbird offense that Tampa fields. If Tampa's offense scores 24 points on our defense I might have to kill myself.

Re: Redskins @ Bucs: Campbell Predictions

He will burn up a lot of time and have delay calls.

Fumble the snap a couple times.

Call all 3 timeout in the first half prior to the 2 minute warning.

He'll settle down by half time and do well the rest of the game and maybe pull out the win.
