Re: If we keep Archuletta...
hold the door for him when he leaves after cleaning out his locker!

Re: If we keep Archuletta...
Either blitz him, or let him drop into zone coverage in the flats. If he shows some improvement in coverage, let him go 1 on 1 w/tight ends, but if he can't do that, NEVER put him man to man on anybody, including tackle eligible guys. I don't know if AA could cover the Colts' Klecko!

Re: If we keep Archuletta...
I remember when Archuletta was with Ram's he was considered a pretty good safety. He used to have an overall rating in the 90s in Madden Football, that's pretty good. I just don't understand how he can all of a sudden be this horrible, I mean, he doesn't even look like he belongs in the NFL. I dunno, I think if I was Gibbs and Williams, I'd bring him in during the offseason, have a sit down meeting and say something like. Look Adam, we still believe in you, we want you to be a part of this team, but there are certain aspects of your game that you still need to work on. We want to help you get better, stay around here in the offseason, let's put the past behind us and make it work. They need to talk to him figure out why he thinks it didn't work this past season, and help him fix what he needs to work on. Then, if it still doesn't work, I'd let him go.

Re: If we keep Archuletta...
really doubt that. he's way to small and not nearly as good in coverage. he might be a decent starter (but nowhere close to a HoFer). he'd probably play better than holdman right off the bat though.

Re: If we keep Archuletta...
Apologies if this has already been posted (from KFFL) ...
Bears | Archuleta an option? Tue, 13 Feb 2007 07:09:02 -0800 John Mullin, of the Chicago Tribune, reports should the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/37/nfl">Washington Redskins decide to part ways with S Adam Archuleta this offseason, the Chicago Bears might express interest in the veteran safety. Last offseason, the Redskins outbid the Bears for the services of Archuleta, who played under Bears head coach Lovie Smith while Smith was still a member of the St. Louis Rams coaching staff. A new rule allows Archuleta to hit the market at the outset of free agency and the Redskins will likely release him in early March. |

Re: If we keep Archuletta...
does this rule strictly benefit the players? or is there something that benefits the team as well?

Re: If we keep Archuletta...
Mr. Snyder should buy him a plasma TV so he can watch the games at home. Let his wife patrol the sidelines instead.

Re: If we keep Archuletta...
AA did come out and sadi something to the effect of that the big contract distracted his play and but allot of preasure on him. I think Carter said about the same thing but he let that go and just went out and played the last 5 or 6 games of the year and did improve. Maybe being benched and another year in the system he will start to live up to his contract. I think our D as a whole started thinking to much last year and did not just go out and play. They just never had that play that got them rolling.

Re: If we keep Archuletta...
We should use him exactly how I use him on Madden.
Make him the nickel back and blitz him every time he's on the field. It works very well on Madden. ![]() |
