Smart move on their part. I'd be shocked if the Chargers tender him at less than the 1st round compensation level. For the Jets, that might actually be worth doing. Not a 1st and a 3rd though.

i think that when it comes to potential trades,betts and portis are both off limits.gibbs will keep them both,unless somebody decides to pull a ricky williams type trade again.

I dunno. If someone offered us a low 1st or high 2nd for Betts, I'd take it in a heartbeat and I think Gibbs would be given a moment of pause.
