Ok, guys. I know it's way too early to start discussing the division, especially with the draft still coming up, but what do you think about the moves, or lack of moves made by the other teams in our division. For example, the Eagles sign Kearse, but they have holes in their secondary, and they still will have trouble with the run. The Giants made minor moves as usual. And I guess the big question I have concerns Dallas. They made no moves for a quarterback. Keyshawn was an o.k. pick-up. But they still have no qb. Will they make a move for Couch? Parcells seems awful quiet.

Parcells can coach anybody (Carter, Hambrick, nuff said), the Eagles will be carried once again by McNabb, and the Giants will fumble their season away as long as they keep handing off to Barber. Seriously though, it could become the best division in the league, quickly. Look at the coaches: Parcells, Reid, Coughlin, and Gibbs. Andy Reid, one of the better coaches in the league, is suddenly fighting for 3rd best in the East! Things could get interesting.

No matter!
No matter what we do, the road to the Divisional championship goes through Philadelphia!
I see us at 8-8, but HOF Coach Gibbs was 8-8 in his first go-around, and we know what happened after that!

Gibbs could have coached last season's team to at least 2-3 more wins. With the new veteran coaching staff and the improvements that have been made, I'd say 5-6 more wins than last year. The Eagles window is closing, and the Giants are a couple years away, so it'll be the Skins and Cowgirls battling it out...just like the old days!

8-8, I'll consider it a huge dissapointment if thats our final record. We will be right in the race till the end of the year, and I think we have a chance to win it. I think the Giants still have some time before they will get back into things, the Cowboys should be decent dispite their slow offseason, Philledaphia will still be strong as well.

I think we have a way easier schedule then last year. Most of our tough ones are at home this year i.e Green Bay, Baltimore, Tampa Bay and Minnesota. We got Cincinatti at home which should be a stomp. We play Detroit (probably on Thanksgiving), Cleveland, Chicago and an unproven 49ers away. Dallas meanwhile has to play Green Bay, Minnesota and Baltimore all away lol. Philly seems to have a similar home schedule as the Skins except switch out Tampa for Carolina. St louis and pittsburgh seem to be their hardest away games other then the division games of course.

I agree with Sittingbull, and I'm suprised not more people do. Our Road Schedule is much easier than our Home Schedule, which is a very good thing. I think Dallas and Philly will be some of our tougher games, I dont know why, but looking at this schedule compared to looking at last years, this one looks alot easier to me. Nothings easy, but this one just looks to be in our favor in my view. When will the release the new schedule btw, I'm getting ansy for it

I dont know whether to hope for some easy teams in the beginning so our team can get comfortable on the field with eachother when it counts or to hope for some hard teams first so they dont have alot of tape of what Gibbs likes to call and be at a disadvantage and get them out of the way.

I think it will come down to Dallas and the Skins, as it should be.
The Giants really haven't done much to improve. There have been so rumors of Collins or Strahan along with the #4 going to the Chargers for the #1 pick. Granted, they were decimated by injuries particularly on the offensive line but I don't consider them a threat. Skins could have swept the Giants the last two years if they had stuck to the run, which I expect they'll do this year. The Eagles, in my opinion, have been overachieving and it's bound to catch up with them. As of now, they have yet to get a no. 1 receiver, they lost Staley and Westbrook will be coming off a major injury. And they're probably going to lose both their corners, Taylor and Vincent. Adding Kearse is a risk, probably a risk worth taking, but considering his recent injury history it's still a risk

i can't beleive dallas has been so quiet in the free agent market.the eagles, and giants have not made a lot of noise either.next season the nfc east will once again be the toughest division in the nfl.i hate the pokes, iggles, and giants but i would quit watching if we did not have to play them each 2 times a year.

It's been quiet in Dallas this offseason, too quiet. Don't be surprised one bit if they work some sort of deal to leapfrog everybody and snatch up Kevin or Greg Jones, Kellen Winslow or ... Sean Taylor. I haven't quite figured out the physics of such a deal, but with Jerry Jones, you just never know. Keep your eyes peeled, fellas. Last edited by Beemnseven; 03-10-2004 at 09:32 PM. |
