Yes, but Portis has been run to death since he has been in the league... Betts has been allowed to develop and grow.

If by grow you mean sit because he can't stay healthy, then I agree with you. If Betts is the running back of the future and they don't bring someone else in, they're in trouble.

Not to mention he'll be 30 in 2 years!

if portis bounces back strong these next two years then i would think the skins front office would just restructure his contract in order to keep him in a skins uniform.

Another thing, Tiki only missed 4 games once in his career, that was his rookie season. Betts has missed 4 games 3 times in 5 years.

Gees... I was just using Tiki as an example of how a RB that is not thrown into the mix right away, can turn out to become great.... remember, Tiki was thought to have way to much of a fumble issue to ever be a dependable back.

I get the point, but Tiki was amazing his last few years. However, I'm further trying to illustrate the point that I don't believe that Ladell Betts is an every down runner. Fumbling can be fixed, being injury prone usually cannot.

Yes, its good to see a little love every now and again. I certainly don't think Jones/Barber should be on that list and if so maybe towards the latter third. I also thought of Saints and Jags first when I saw the title.

Oh yeah, how could I forget about Michael Turner and LT?? sheesh. Sports Illustrated couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat. This is the magazine that picked the Panthers to play the Dolphins in the Super Bowl last season. HA!

That's basically what I said.

LT and 724Skinsfan should've made that list over Jacobs and Droughns.

That's why we have no intention of trading either one. RB, O-Line, and ST were the only parts of the team that worked last year. It would be cruel to upset "all that chemistry"
