RUMOR: Skins looking to trade up for C.J.

You have got to be kidding me this trade proposal is insanity, giving away next years #1 is joke to pick up a player we don't even need, and who knows how well he is going to do, You're talking as if he is the second coming of Jerry Rice. Please fellow Redskin fans do not fall into this C.J. hype, we have more pressing needs to worry about than gambling on this overhyped receiver.

Exactly. Do any of you realize how good he would have to be to justify us taking him at 6 with our defensive line needs? He'd have to be Rice good. Anything else would be a waste of a pick.

Todd Wade replaces Dockery at guard. I think we are set there on paper. We have our secondary situation under control. We got the new qb of our defense in London Fletcher. I think we look pretty good at linebacker. We need help on the defensive line still. But Carter was coming on strong at the end of the year. We still have a chance to find a free agent or two in a lower price bracket.

Johnson means we are unstoppable on offense, figuratively speaking.

It's a good move. I hope we do it.

This guy could be Jerry Rice good. He is the best player in the draft. He would make our whole offense MUCH better the minute he steps on the field. He's 6'5 240 and runs a 4.35???????? Plus has great hands and a great attitude? Can you imagine trying to stop this guy in the red zone? Just imagine the PI's he would draw. So if you have a chance to pick a guy like this you do it. But I would not go messing around with next year's number one pick in order to move up to get him. But if it's a 3rd or 4th rounder I would do it. You don't hear anyone saying this about Gaines Adams or Alan Branch do you?

But our D-line is a mess. Carter may have had some good pass rush games but he still played like shit against the run. Daniels can't pass rush anybody. Joe S. and Goldston are BIG questionsmarks and even Griff's play has slipped. So we need major help here. And if our d-line doesn't improve then the whole defense will suffer.

we havent officially signed wade.we need a pass rusher on the right end and snyde at johnsons pro day is just hype made by his agent to get more money.

I think there was a story on redskins.com last week but I cant find it now. Maybe they posted it prematurely?

I did, however, find this on Redskins.com today:

NFL.com's Adam Schefter reports that free agent offensive lineman Todd Wade has agreed to terms with the Redskins. However, the Redskins have not announced a signing or issued a press release about Wade.

NFL.com Adam Schefter has nothing to do with the Redskins.
It's not official until the team makes an announcment.
However, I think we all understand the deal could be done?

If he falls to us at 6, I could come to terms with us selecting him based on how good he is.

HOWEVER, if we trade up to get him, its the dumbest freaking thing i've ever heard of. We have wayyyy to many needs to do somthing like that.

I don't think we would need to jump all the way to the #2 spot to get CJ. If we got ahead of TB at #4,then I think we could ge him.


Just for the record, I don't like the idea of trading next years picks for any reason.
