Question, how many of the starters on our line played consistently? I know I saw the rookie T from MD in there, but I had company and couldn't quite focus on the game as much as normal. It seemed as if the Titans had a lot of pressure with just the front 4.

Will 10 yard torrents haved this game? Since I missed large chunks?

Did Lloyd get any playtime?

the reason i bring brunell up is he still on this roster. He taking a roster spot from someone who could help this team win. The man cant play. Also he Gibb's boy. He painful to watch.

Re: Thoughts on Skins vs Titans

Campbell looked ok. Our starting offensive line sucks, Jansen didn't look good, neither did Heyer or Wade. Our backup o-line didn't look good either. Brunell was unimpressive. Collins did decent, led our o to the only scoring drive of the night. If Collins continues to look good and Brunell looks bad, we could see Collins take the #2 spot. Our defense was by far the most impressive thing of the night, great decision to bring Fletcher in, he's a beast. Landry looked ok from what I saw, but I didn't see much of him lol. We still aren't getting any pressure from the d-line, but then again I didn't have high expectations for them to begin with.

I agree with your assesment.

Heyer and Jansen were getting thrown around all night, more so Heyer, but I guess that's excusable since he is a rookie. Hopefully, Jansen just had an off night and isn't regressing like many Warpathers were accusing him of last year. Wade look fine straight ahead, but when he tried to pull on that counter, he was so pitifully slow and couldn't set a good lead block. Jason Fabini was ridiculously bad. I don't understand why our front office recognizes the need to improve our O-line, and then goes and signs rejects from the worst lines in the league: Dallas and Houston.

Our run D was pretty stout all night. It seemed like a different LB was behind the line making a play every time the Titans tried to run, and yes, London Fletcher owned last night, great pickup! The only thing disconserting about all this is Tenn was able to convert through the air any time the Run D got them into 3rd and long situations. What's wrong with our pass D? Shawn Springs gave up the first big 3rd down conversion too. We're going to be in trouble if we keep getting gouged down the field. Oh, and Ade is gone after this preseason. During Tim Rattay's scoring drive, he targeted Ade's man on every throw and just moved it right down the field.

Laron looks good. He put KC on his butt hard on that one 3rd down play. I'm excited about him.

JC looked pretty good, that is, when he was protected. Granted, he fumbled twice, but both fumbles occurred when pass protection completely broke down. I was happy just to see him get a few throws downfield.

The O-line was dreadful - they couldn't open running lanes, they couldn't pass protect, etc. I was simply shocked by how poorly they performed.

The first team defense looked pretty nice. London Fletcher looked promising. Laron Landry can definately lay the wood. Imagine how they would have looked had Griffin been in.

It sounds like I was watching the same game as you. I thought Campbell looked pretty good. Definitely not average from what I've been hearing.

The O-line was awful, but we were working with an entire new left side. First preseason game at that.

We'll be okay.

Re: Thoughts on Skins vs Titans

Game is a mixed bag. O line gave up 4 sacks and the running game was not there, but most of the preseason games you will not see much of a running game anyway. JC was ok, but 6/14 with 2 fumbles isn't going to get the job done. Liked the nice grabs by Moss and Randle El, but that was pretty much all of JC's passing yardage. We need Llyod in the mix to really do the damage. Defensively we were back to '05 form against the run for the most part, but alas.. no pass rush yet again. Secondary is average and so far will get burned for the occasional big play again. So far I do not see much of anything to say we are a playoff calibre team yet.

Re: Thoughts on Skins vs Titans

Fletcher looks like the real deal and finally a good veteran pick up by the FO. Campbell had some moments, but didn't do a good job at all of feeling the pressure. Defense overall looked pretty sharp and got their hands up in the Titans qb's faces, but most of the pressure came on blitzes. Speaking of, Landry looks like he could be a force coming on the safety blitz. Offense definitely wasn't clicking like we'd all want, especially the running game, but we know they'll open up more non basic plays next week.

Re: Thoughts on Skins vs Titans

In a nutshell, the total offense has alot of work to do to include JC, I thought he would look better, but its week one of pre-season. I'm also Keeping in mind we have some key guys out, that will make a difference. JC however needs to learn how to hold on to the football, those mistakes could have been very costly. Same old Brunell. Collins looked better, put together a nice scoring drive! I think it would have to be time to send Brunell packing, looks like the same old same old.

The defense looked much improved! Fleetch played GREAT. LL looks like he is gonna be special, just ask Kerry Collins. As a unit they looked better than I expected, MAJOR PLUS!

The positive ending note we won the damn game! That will be a boost, confidence well needed! 1-0
