Re: Campbell takes losing hard

Crying after a tough loss against the Cowboys in which everyone depended on....shows that Campbell is playing football with his heart. I rather have him be emotional after a loss like that instead of him joking and smiling after the game. I can see Campbell being a great quarterback after he learns everything he needs to know.

Re: Campbell takes losing hard

I'm not afraid to admit that my eyes watered up just reading about Campbell sitting by himself and crying. I'm going to follow this guy to the end. There's something special about him and his character and I just can't help but feel he has greatness in his future. I suppose someone will probably call me gay now too, but I am made of rubber suckers.

Re: Campbell takes losing hard

Maybe we should bring in Dick Vermeil as a consultant? LOL

Re: Campbell takes losing hard

Give Campbell his time to preform and if not then Jim Mora can bring in Michael Vick for the job

Dick Vermeil may be the mystery interview but Mora and Vick are history

Re: Campbell takes losing hard

I think I heard Samuels cried too. I think there's no shame at all in showing emotion. I cried when Michelle gave Martin the Goldfish a bubble bath and killed him (I kind of laughed also). When I hurt I hurt, and I ain't afraid to show it.

All joking aside, it's easy to say it's just a paycheck to these guys but most guys truly care and really want to win. I'm glad Jason Campbell is one of those guys.

I pretty much feel the same way. What's amazing is that the potential for a big emotional spark comes from the one guy who commentators all around the league describe as "serene" and "always calm and collected out there." Even when I've been down on the team as a whole this season Campbell has been the one guy I could point to and say "He's the real deal." I love this kid.

The other thing about the Dallas game I love is that Campbell completely rebounded from the brief stretch of less than stellar games he had earlier. To me, that is the best indicator of his character. Philly was a beginning for him but Dallas solidified his own "comeback" so to speak.

I think Gibbs 2.0's legacy will be playoffs 05, and 07 (hopefully) and drafting the first franchise qb we've had in my existence...1980. Cambell is gauranteed 10 years.

Let's not just not respond anymore to mlmpetert's comments. No need to give them any more credence.

I still say it's better to stuff all emotion down and take it out on your family later, but to each his own. I take it as a sign that this team actually cares.

Re: Campbell takes losing hard

Here's a quote from Jason on a WP article:

"People wanted to know why I felt bad after last week's game. I felt bad because two weeks in a row, if we had beaten Philly and Dallas, we would have been in a much better position," he said. "I was so upset with anger. I wasn't crying, I had tears in my eyes because I was upset with anger that we had so many opportunities and we keep letting games slip away. It's not about my individual efforts. I don't care about that. I just want to win."

I wonder if Brandon Lloyd was crying after the loss

Re: Campbell takes losing hard

That's the difference between players. Campbell was involved gave his heart and poured emotion following the game. Brandon Lloyd is a punk ass bitch who will never play as a Redskin ever again. I blame Nolan for pawning him off on us, but Nolan will get his, when his snazzy suit guy look is showed the door just like so many before him. Lloyd will be lucky to find work. Campbell will be the Redskins QB for years to come. Emotion is good. Desire to win is a must. GO REDSKINS!!!
