They play in a league that is basically read and react. Average guys who run precise routes can do well against the Cover 2 and its variation as long as the QB has time, and he is familiar with his receiver. Watching Thrash before he got hurt, led me to believe that he puts in practice time with JC. A big name guy is great, but the Stokely, Jarivous Deon Branch guys always come through.

hopefully this mix guy we picked up will be the future answer. campbell will push him hard over the off season.

If you have a prototype running the fade then the throw can be 8 feet in the air and Kelly can't touch it, instead you run the fade to Santana Moss and it's easy to pick because it has to be much lower. I'm not taking the owness off of Campbell, I don't know about making the throw, but if it were a big target, that's a totally different situation.

We just got one who is 6'5" 220+ and played with Campbell at Auburn. Why we didn't at least take a shot with him is beyond me. I don't want to hear the "he's not familiar with the playbook", or "he's not ready". The guy is a professional WR, he knows what the heck a fade is. It's worth a shot on 1st down with 30 seconds left in the game and the ball on the +16.

I think sometimes Saunders is so enamoured with his super-intelligent, 700 page playbook that he forgets to let players "make plays".
