Re: NFL Network booth horrible again tonight
The pre-game tribute to Taylor was excellent. Two thumbs up to the NFLN for that.

Re: NFL Network booth horrible again tonight
Let's forget about the booth and just stick with the basics like the scoreboard on the screen. Is NFLN being stubborn to keep their "signature style"
because it is possibly placed in the worst/most annoying place on the screen...

Re: NFL Network booth horrible again tonight
I don't think Gumble even likes football. He forces everything and shows no excitement. Collinsworth still annoys me but is getting a little better. I can't get his "Daniel Snyder = Minnie Me" comment out of my head from way back.
Luckily I got sick during the first quarter and went home. Laid in bed listening to Sonny and Sam the rest of the night. Trust me, the Redskins play waaay better when you close your eyes and listen to play-by-play on the radio.

I'll still take these guys over the MNF crew that prefers talking to celebrities (or worse, Charles Barkley) and ignoring the game.

Re: NFL Network booth horrible again tonight
NFLN is a joke. The only good part of last nights broadcast was the ST tribute. They can't call a game worth shit, thier presentation is old and annoying. Thier "field" reporters are pretty horrible and don't know how to talk, and somehow they can get the rights to show the game, and nobody else?
Seems like the commish or someone can step in and tell them to improve, or they lose thier "exclusive" thrusday night access.

Re: NFL Network booth horrible again tonight
Between Gum hole and the commercials hands down NFL Network sux worse than Fox's first year when they took over from CBS. This was without question such biased pro Bears anti- Redskins I actually think Aikman is balanced and fair.
Jayne Pauley could do better than BG, Collinsworth made some decent points but some observations where from out in left field. Why are the TV stations flooded with the 'Skins bashers?? The network cuts away while JC is writhing in pain, we have no idea what is happining with Fred Smoot on the sideline. But man Devon Hester is gonna run for fukkin President accordin to Bryant Gushhole. Glad the Skins are done with this Network for this season. I'm calling Comcast and cancelling NFLN today. |

Re: NFL Network booth horrible again tonight
i was driving home around halftime, and listening on the radio. Dick Enberg was doing the game for west-wood 1. if he is available, why not him for the NFL network? i think Collingsworth would be OK in a situation where he doesn't have to carry the broadcast team. and they must be bad if someone wants Mike Tirico instead. because other then Gumble, Tirico is the worst

Re: NFL Network booth horrible again tonight
Gumbel is just horrible. After last week's horrible performance, I really didn't think the guy could top that, but he did.
I mean, I lost track of the amount of times he called the wrong player by name and misinformed the viewers. Another thing, after Campbell went down with the injury it seemed like there was no sense of urgency reporting what exactly was wrong with him. And they never did say what happened to Rex Grossman. |

Re: NFL Network booth horrible again tonight
How does Gumbel have a career in any sort of broadcasting arena? Does he have pictures of Deion and Roger Goodall in bed together? Has Satan offered him the deal of a lifetime? Worst announcer ever! Give me the guy who announces over the PeeDee Cardinals under 12 videos any time over this worthless human.

Re: NFL Network booth horrible again tonight
Bryant Gumbel needs to be taken care of ala Old Yeller. Collingsworth is pretty full of himself. There has to be a decent play by play guy and a decent color guy out there worth their weight in fruit roll-ups that isn't under contract by Fox, CBS, NBC or the Evil Empire...

Re: NFL Network booth horrible again tonight
Joey T. is out there isn't he?
NFLN should sign up his ass quick. Hell, bring back the entire old Sunday Night crew. Mike Patrick, Paul Maguire, and Joey T. I miss that team. They were solid. |
