Re: Chad Johnson Wants Out of Cincy
If we still had Gibbs I'd be all for bringing him on for the right price. I am talking no more than a 3rd. Moss got a 4th so I'd say at best a 3rd. But with Gibbs gone I am unsure. We'd be relying on the unknown in managing him. But he does give us something we desparately need.

Re: Chad Johnson Wants Out of Cincy
Chad Johnson is a problem child. Loads of talent but a problem child. He's under contract in Cincy (one more year I think) so it would take a trade to get him.
T.O is a problem child. Loads of talent but a problem child. He's under contract in Dallas (one more year) so it would take a trade to get him. Randy Moss is a problem child. Loads of talent but a problem child - - who just got through setting an all time record for TD catches in a single season. He will be a free agent as soon as the Pats' season is over. No trade needed. For those of you who want to take a shot at a talented WR who is also a problem child, why not take the one who has the most talent AND is a free agent??? Just asking...

Re: Chad Johnson Wants Out of Cincy
I think the reasons to not bring CJ here are cost related. As for those questioning his character and work-ethic, I think there's a big difference between TO and CHad. I don't see him coming here but if it was possible it would be for the tremendous benefit of this team.

As for his charity work compared to that of the Redskins. The Redskins players each do plenty of charity work (some much more than others of course), but the best charity work is the kind that doesn't have to be advertised. Not saying CJ is promoting his own charity work. Just saying just because you don't hear about someone doing charity doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Re: Chad Johnson Wants Out of Cincy
I wouldn't mind getting Chad Johnson.
He's a classy guy who has very elite skills. He doesn't cause problems in the locker room or outside of the locker room. I'm sure Dan wouldn't mind trading in our #85 for that #85. |

Re: Chad Johnson Wants Out of Cincy
No prime donas now guys. Chad is a beast, but do we really need locker room crap to go on between him and Moss and Randle El? Plus the money we will be dishing out would be HUGE!!!!! It would consist of lots of $$$$$$$$$ and some draft picks for sure to get him from Cincy, unless his contract is up. Can't we have a decent draft for a change and use that to build a squad? Caldwell and Randle El came along fine. McCardell did well also for us, but like everyone mentions he is old. Use a pick to get one WR and we are set. Use the rest for linemen and DBs.

Re: Chad Johnson Wants Out of Cincy
I wouldn't mind Chad J if he'd keep his trap shut and leave the antics in Cincy.

Re: Chad Johnson Wants Out of Cincy
What leads you to think CJ will have beef with our other WRs? Chad is used to being around other top flight WRs, and every WR around him seems to get better. He was teammates with Steve Smith (carolina) in junior college, and has done nothing but help TJ and Chris Henry on the field.
I totally understand the money argument. That makes sense. But I don't understand this cancer crap. This guy enjoy what he does!

Re: Chad Johnson Wants Out of Cincy
hey if you don't want him we'll take him lol.. seriously I think pretty much any team would be happy to take him. He brings talent, excitement, and he's not a bad guy like people here are pointing out. People really like watching him play.... I just hope that the Patriots don't get him too LOL I wouldn't want to see him on any team that i hate because he's really a talented guy
